Until January 4th, this thread was used to post naps in the Daily Naps competition. I've now set up a different category for that, which will have a new thread each day.
On this thread now, ignore the first 4 days content and for the future just post racing related content.
All the best.
Joe
Back in Australia visiting friends and family. Not much time for racing but do watch the racing.com channel on free to air TV. Have similar gripes about the racing admin, but prize money far higher and full fields for all events. Need to refamiliarise with metric weights and distances - they're much more specific- e.g. a 1479m maiden flat
at race. Plenty of gambling ads, but all followed by a reminder whether Ur really winning, and details of gambling support groups. All in all, in much better shape than UK, but focus becoming more now on footy, (Aussie rules) betting.
Good move on separating out the naps and chat threads, Joe. Thanks.
I know we're all supposed to get excited about the big meetings and the big races and big days and all, but I do have a fondness for days like this where there's just the one low-key jumps card to pick over. No divided attention, one object of study. I have a longstanding aim to go to Ffos Las sometime . . . one day.

You wonder why you bother sometimes, ie with trackers. Yesterdays nap had notes about a wind op, would be much better for its first run of the season and an expectation that it was an improver. What appeared was a horse being chivvied along after the first lap and being beaten by about a furlong. I don't know why it turned up. I was at Wetherby on the 27th and of 6 runners for the Castleford 2 of them just did not look fit in the parade ring. Schooling in public really. Setting itself up for a moan today

TUESDAY JANUARY 4TH 2022
Well done on Tuesday to our 3 successful Napsters - Luke H with Famous Star at 5/2, Rob J with Colonel Manderson at 13/8, and Stonor with a cracker in Pookie Pecan at 13/2 - well done, Gents. Also, on Monday catchup, Gaz P scored with Ginto at 5/4 - nice one Gaz.
My Tuesday nap is Winter Watch 1.15
Good luck
Joe
Looking a bit friendless, I'll still row in with
Muss 1400 Kakamora
perhaps folk have been reading the name backwa
i think i'll be a bit more adventurous today napwise. in the Southwell 1`2.50, ex point winner Found On has a chase debut and these are the type of horses that do come in now and again at good prices. won twice over hurdles and shouldn't mind ground. Sitting at 14s and it can be an each way nap.
