I don't think Hollie Doyle was at her finest today.
I don't think Trueshan was going to win that race, but after a slow pace, I can see her wanting to push on, but I can't see how Trueshan was going to stay ahead from that far out. Good run by Coltrane though.
I feel that Bradsell could have won but got to the front too soon. I suspect Hollie thought there was more horse underneath her, and expected the effort to be sustained, alas no.
Don't get me wrong, I think she's great, just today could have been different...
Alan King sounded a bit deflated afterwards. He probably thinks Trueshan has had enough + he may be right. A mooted hurdling campaign would be unfair on the horse, I think. He's done connections proud.
Could be a group 1 in Bradsell. Maybe over 5f. Lack of fitness probably caught him out today.
Impressive performance from Coltrane. He's been one of my trackers, and I had a good punt on him at RA last year. I backed him again today, but didn't want to nap him today so as not to jinx your nap. I'm already regretting that decision.
Cheers Jonathan, was well impressed, never quite know what to expect first run so very happy. Also backed cold case as looked after me last year, saw him win 2YO trophy @ Redcar, still not sure to expect from 2 to 3 but ran very well.
G negative article today from the American woman on TH,getting in early ready for Saturdays big meeting. Who is the negative driver that imports this stuff from her.
No doubt AR will be getting a heads up soon again from Greg.
Viner heading for the chop hopefully by all accounts for upsetting the Jewish fraternity. Talk about sh 1 T ING on your own doorstep.
I cannot abide antisemitism. I was trying to set out the context for the vitriolic criticism of the cartoon and the almost laughable misreading of parts of it. If you knew Rowson's work you would recognise immediately his caricatures of Sunak and Johnson-as-a-pig. How is it antisemitic to associate Sharp with the company he used to work for? Do you refute the accusation of Johnson being mired in sleaze. And, the big one, what in God's name does a squid have to do with it? Until you answer these questions your tantrum is wasted on me. In the end this is an example of cancel culture where the keyboard warriors rampage like Mongol hordes and obliterate a tiny hovel in the middle of nowhere. And then they all feel so much better about themselves.
The Guardian are rank hypocrites. They asked Martin Rowson for a joke about Richard Sharp which, when he submitted it, the editor approved. It was duly printed in the paper and put up online. They thought that Sharp and Johnson were easy targets and let's have a dig at the PM while we're at it. Only when the accusations of antisemitism blew up did they backtrack and Viner did a 180. Rowson, as I said, knows which side his bread is buttered and the G is the only national daily that matches his political persuasion, so it was a diplomatic withdrawal on his part, like when an institution says it is "sorry for any offence that may have been caused". It doesn't rank high in the sincerity charts. But it's always amusing when the holier than thou get banged to rights, isn't it.
I'm far from insecure ,and just because a woman writes a load of utter drivel about horses I'm not going to say what I think about it ,or her for fear of demeaning women in general in your male feminist eyes.
On overreacting ,how many posts on TH and here did you write about Elliott and Dunne for instance.
The run in Ireland cost me a medium wheelbarrow though today is more 'lets see how he shapes up'. The other is Coltrane who has become a big favourite. I don't know what's not to like about Trueshan other than his trainers dithering about whether or not its soft enough to run him. That could happen today if the weather is anything like as glorious as up here in't north with a light drying breeze.

I had my fingers burned many moons ago on a certainty, one of the few lessons in life that I learned quite easily.
Dower House placed at Gowran Park in the 18.20 at 10/1.

Hutton Glen in the 17:20 at Gowran Park
Dancing Goddess in the Ascot 14.40 is an uninspired choice today - I'm making heavy weather of the return to turf.
3.50 at Ascot I find intriguing....
Desert Cop by Oasis Dream, who also fathered Showcasing.
Cold Case by Showcasing, who also fathered Tasleet.
Bradsell by Tasleet.
(Marbaan also by Oasis Dream)
I'll nap Desert Cop 3.50A who may have fitness edge (and better price),
but I'd love to see Bradsell back to his best and mincing all of these (sure GForce would too).
And yesterday's nap was 38 lengths last, so maybe this will help Bradsell :P
Muker 1.40 Pontefract is the nap, well done to Leo and Baciodilupo for their good winners yesterday.

A full sister to Churchill and Clemmie and I doubt she will need to win anything above listed status to further enhance her Broodmare value.
I expect APOB to run her 10 times this year in the off chance of black type.
