Terrific horse isn't he. Ultra game. He knows York so well, he probably drove himself down from Darlington today. He's actually pretty well handicapped now having dropped nearly a stone since last summer. He's lethal when he can get his toe in. Well done.
Emily Upjohn, Musidora Stakes. She is the character played by Margaret Dumont in the Marx Brothers' A Day at the Races. Old hands from TH days will remember that as the favourite film of the much-missed Ray from Down Under. He used to quote snippets of Marxian dialogue from that classic comedy. Miss Upjohn was a hypochondriac in the film, so I hope the filly is in good health today.
Beautiful weather at Beverley yesterday and a profit to boot, so can't complain. Today's nap was going to be samburu (York 16:10), but I have to stick with an old favourite (with a great record at York) Mr wagu (nap) 14:25. Sky a paying 7 places ew, but for the purpose of the tipping comp, I'm going for the win.
May has been really difficult on the tipping front...hope that Ruth Carr has been saving Embour for this as her fleet hasn't been doing too well lately...14:25 EW Nap
The Musidora looks like a puzzle even the cleverest people on this Forum cannot solve so why should I bother?
In the 14.25. there is a Horse called Mr
Wagyu. Bad taste. A Horse earlier this week had it's name changed at the last second because it meant something vulgar in a regional dialect.
I don't think a Horse should be named after a Ruminamt Cousin famed for believing it receives daily massages and drinks endless Guinness only to arrive on a Restaurant Table served 7 ways.
Pammi wins at 5 to 2.
I'm going to say this only once. And I secretly hope no one reads it.
Ukraine 4/7 for Eurovision is stealing money. But wait: Poland 33/1 e.w. to four places is, I'm told, the shrewdies' bet.
Brought a tear to my eye as Dakota Gold won 18s
