Im working in the London office this week & anyone having a bet at Kempton today might want to have a look to see if any of the runners have course form at St Moritz.
Tim's filly Ambitious Plan ran well to place second last time. Four lengths behind her that day was Khabesa who has since come out to win at Chantilly. Trained by Fabre natch.
Punters: have you become frustrated by this jumps season with its unseasonable ground, inappropriate watering and a strange lack of excitement about the Cheltenham Festival? I know I have. Don't despair - there's a solution! All you do is take a dose of Andre Fabre's Famous Class and Consistency medicine. You can be sure with Andre!
(121 winners in the last 12 months at 20%. 16 wins or placed of his last 20 runners including 8 wins.)
Short answer Harry is Yes. It just feels like a jump year with no momentum - no trainer is really firing, meetings getting lost or run with too many 3 or 4 horse races. The AW is often more fun at the minute as at least there's some numbers running even if the class isn't great. I'm not sure its not just me at the moment but ive not watched as much racing as normal this year.
I think this will probably be my last visit to the festival for a while. In years gone by I wouldn't sleep in the weeks leading up to the Supreme. I would have had a load of life changing accumulators on the go and I'd hit at least 2 preview nights. Somebody recently asked me what I was looking forward to most at this year's festival. I replied 5.30 on the Friday.
My substitute Dark Side Thunder came off the bench very late to win at 6/1
