What a well named horse - some battler to get back up!
re Applauding. I don't recall applauding at the cinema - even though i'll never forget seeing Jaws there when younger( and others like Poseidon Adventure, Towering Inferno, Grease). But, i've seen countless thousand goals in pubs over the year and still recall when Maradona scored his Mazy goal against England in the Hand of God game that the whole pub stood and applauded the screen for minutes. It was a moment of Magic and it didnt matter if it was against England or anyone else, you just knew you would rarely see anything like that again in your life.
With a lot of rain about and Goodwoood having changed the going to soft already I will try Morando 3.40 Goodwood for todays nap.Well done yesterdays winners.
There are a lot of well bred full Siblings running today at Galway.
In the 17.40. Ballydoyle run FS to both Found and The Gurkha to get a Maiden win.
My nap is the FB to Alpha Centauri (Scott Walker poignantly referenced this Planetary System) in the 16.05. Simpson's Paradox. e.w. I expect it to drift when people start to Google Simpson's Paradox so it could be good e.w. value.
There's a Gigginstown homebred in the 4.05 race called Harsh. Is this the first horse to race in M. O'Leary's new focus on breeding for the flat? Harsh seems to me to be a very O'Leary sort of name. Blunt and to the point.
Good luck fox won at 4/1
Simpson's Paradox placed 9/2 in the 16.05. Galway. I did specify e.w.
Aggagio wins at 11 to 10. A double for Pebbles and I. I do like 2m or plus flat races as a betting medium
John Chard Vc won at 13/8.
As we know, the days grow short when you reach September and we don't have time for waiting games so Seize the day....
I'll seize it with Aggagio in the Goodwood 15.40..(maybe in the company of Matt Monro or Chet Baker)
Cashew. Goodwood 5.20
Beautiful Aisling 3.05G nap
Fascinating Lips in the 13:55 at Goodwood.
Lamprog - 19.10 Galway
Memories of Stanley Baker in one of my favourite films; John Chard Vc in the 15.15 at Leicester is today’s selection.
Obee Jo 14:20 Catt Nap
Nap G'wood 1430 Going to the Moon
A fitting theme. I don't really understand the drift but it may have a hydrogen leak or something.
Good luck fox 🦊 nap (catterick, 17:05)
Mr Trevor 2.55C.
7.40 Galway - Alizarine
