Oh dear, going against Alan and Jake in 4.03 Redcar, with my nap Fox Hill.
2 wins from 2 runs at the track, I was also thinking that GS would be more to his liking than those at the top of the market, but seems bright and sunny up there, so might be more like Good going at 4 O'clock. Trainer had a winner yesterday too.
I initially was looking for Gosden's at Yarmouth, as the strike rate is so good, but quite hard to fancy either of them!
Many thanks for the best wishes...hospital food does wonders to ensure a speedy recovery...feeling marvellous but had to cancel a holiday to Portugal as no flying for a month...Jet 2 have rebooked the flight for next year so a bit of good news...now to see if i can recover my napping prowess .. Jordan Electrics 16:03 Red'c EW Nap
It looks like my e.w. bet in the Boomerang at 16.20 on 10/09/22 never existed.
I napped Glounthaune at 40/1.
I have as much a right to the sponsored Winners Jacuzzi as anyone else.
I found Ballydoyle 'team tactics' over the weekend as laughable as ever. They just set the Races up for what I call the opposition but sometimes worse.
The Vermeile was bad enough but the slow pace in the VOB National was criminal.
I knew Aesops Fables needed Pace and won over 7F previously and just because he is by No Nay Never does not mean they can
quicken off a slow pace.
He needs 12F on his next start.
Offspring of Dubawi finished 2nd and 4th in the Doncaster St. Leger the same day.
Sorry, every Horse is different.
I think the VOB National Stakes was nonsense along with the Vermeille and take nothing from either Race.
The Punchestown Card today looks like a recipe for disaster.
In a 14 Runner Field in the 15.45. I see 4 Runners priced at 100/1, 2 Runners prices at 66/1 and another at 40/1.
Clearly Hubris on the part of their owners who don't know their place in the world and don't listen to their Training Team.
I have backed all 7 to be placed as the other 7 aren't all that and I only need 1 to get placed to get a return.
Al Riffa ran almost exactly the same time as Tahiyra did carrying 3lbs more . Neither race was slowly run, 83 is quick for a 2 yos to record. The only fly in the ointment is the actual distances they ran over on Sunday ,the rails were right out ,and the furlong pole makers positions looked highly suspect . Somehow Kyprios ran his fastest time ever over a trip that hes never excelled at with both the 2nd and 3rd increasing their best times by hard to believe margins ,especially the 3rd whose never ran above 93 in G1 company but somehow ran 103 here.
Other races dont stack up either.
I think Kev Blake has given up badgering HIRB about accurate race distances ,I know Dave Edward's has .
Many thanks, Dilton and I did know you might offer clarification. I am expecting this "strength in depth" in their 2 year old to look hollow come October.
Maybe, Auguste Rodin.
It looks like Kyprios will take over from 5F out in the Arc a la Order of St. George to facilitate Luxembourg.
Tarhib won 11/8
Fox hill. 4.03 Redcar
2.00 Punchestown - Gulf Of Mexico
A disclaimer: no idea of the price. I'm in Amman until Friday so relying entirely on my tracker entries.
Cosmos Raj in the 15:28 at Redcar.
Not a very exciting day
Nap Redcar 1453 Prarie Falcon
