Yes, I am grateful to EGS, as his story about being late for his entry to the Louvre and circulating aimlessly in the Place du Carrousel got me looking at it.. I am not entirely sure if that is beneath the glass Pyramid, so loathed by stuck in the muds and traditionalists, but so loved by the young and those with imagination. It also has those addicted to The Da Vinci Code as it featured in that, I think. I recollect that when we first visited Paris it was the year just before its opening. It was only later, the next year or so, that we discovered the Carrousel and the archaeological excavations and displays. Not been for a long time, but when last there there was some deterioration, with toilets closed, etc.
However, your nap of Silverdale reminded me that it was a holiday venue for my family when I was a child. Must have been at the end of the days when milk could be delivered in huge galvanised jugs. I suspect it was unpasteurised. It was certainly full cream and entirely different from what I was used to at home in Manchester. The same applied to ice cream which we bought there. I have never tasted anything as good as that since.
I hope that you are recovering from the hurricane without too much fallout.
I will update yesterday wth today's results this evening. No point messing about with short prices with EGS so far ahead, so I'm hoping the consistent Matchless can get his head in front in the 3.10 - he's the nap.
Somehow this came up in my tracker so feel obliged but not confident…it is a nursery but the price is good 40/1 Sky paying 6 plcs….Tranquillity 13:25 Leics EW NAP
My last two selections (at SPs of 15/2 & 12/1) have lost by a neck and two necks. I haven’t got the brass neck to try and claim that I said both should be backed each way. Anyway, I think it’s important that a few of us give Joe a break from having to calculate notional winnings.
Today’s beast with an added burden is Capofan (EACH WAY) in the 14.00 at Leicester.

Obee Jo 5.25 Leicester is the nap, well done yesterday Robicheaux with your winner.
I am impressed that the Horse I napped yesterday called Fidanka at Tipperary was beaten in to last place on her debut by 1/2 length to to the penultimate loser.
There was then a gap of 94 lengths to the 3rd last home.
What kind of Jockey Instructions is that?
Make sure you come last and don't fight it out for the 2nd last place even if the rest of the field are being hosed down.
She is on my Tracker.
From the same Stable I am choosing 'The Chapel Field'. 14.25. Galway. e.w.
No fight left in him and on a mark he acquired pre-covid but so what.
If it will help, a paraphrase would be, "it's an inclusive forum with standards that would apply for a family audience." That is my understanding from the original guidelines issued by Joe McNally and his rulings over time. Joe said a lot more, which is on this website somewhere, but my comment was a generalisation related to inclusivity (particularly women, as a matter of fact) and the need for posters to be aware of the audience.

I've clicked reply on Tom's, but want to address Dilton and Harry too. Enmity is too strong a word to use for recent debates - and I include myself here - but these disputes will be off putting to visitors and those considering joining. When it became clear to me the site would never be a fully-firing forum with lots of threads and debates, I wanted to aim just for the fun side with the Naps table, which make up 95% of the content.
Other subjects are bound to arise and I've learned quite a bit from everybody's input here; I enjoy long threads and healthy argument but do not like to see such arguments become so adversarial. If you want to continue with them, by all means do so within the rules of the site, but kindly move them to the Lounge.
Huntingdon off, so the revised nap is.... Leicester 3.45 - Lipsink
Brilliant nap by EGS on Sunday. Hopefully your head has stopped spinning around.
