Just one profitable return on Monday - well done EGS. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.

As Tom picked up, there was another glitch yesterday that had a post by Jake as 'unknown member'. Let me know please if you are having any wee niggles like this when using the site.

The RP did a heart-warming piece today on the promising apprentice jockey Kaiya Fraser. Kaiya comes from a non-racing background and has been given his break by Harry Eustace. He hails from my neck of the woods in Hackney, NE London, about as far from the wide open spaces of Newmarket Heath as it's possible to imagine. It goes to show what can be achieved by a talented youngster with hard work and talent and a little help from the right people.

An account of two stewarding mistakes in Ireland in an article on the Irish Racing website (link below) I had not followed the Rachael Blackmore case, but I did see the intereference by Saldier. The second part of the article pulls no punches about the reasons for the changes proposed by the BHA. I must say I found the performance by Julie Harrington on TV at the weekend trying to justify the changes was very poor. She avoided answering the properly posed questions (for example, the effect of Sunday racing on the lives of all the racing staff involved) and seemed quite unprepared except for her PR script.
