Brighton: one Class 5 and six Class 6 races to get stuck into. It's Terrible Tuesday.
The way it’s going some may look back and say, “Do you know it wasn’t always Class 10 races here at Brighton. There were times when there was a Class 6 card with the occasional 5 thrown in for good measure. Also, back in those days there were also horse races with more than four runners”!
Monaadhil 17:35 Chelm EW nap
Queen sarabi nap (Brighton 16:05)
Glamorous Force - 14.00 Brighton.
2.45 Sikorsky - hoping can show a bit more today....
Galaxy Gazer Weatherby 17.15
After yesterdays very shorty i'll try Copperline 18.25 at Wetherby
I still can't get used to the idea of flat racing at Wetherby. It's a bit like having a car boot sale in the Royal Enclosure at Ascot. But there are some decent field sizes there this evening so the demand is there, at least from trainers. So what do I know. For what it's worth, they are saying it's good, good/firm in places, but there was a fair bit of rain over the weekend I'm told, so it shouldn't have any sting in the ground.
4.50 Salisbury - Millions Memories (each way)
I went to Salisbury last year for a Sunday raceday. I thought it would be ideal opportunity to visit the famous cathedral. It was closed. On a Sunday!
The C of E has done its risk assessment. It's safer to keep people out. They might be carrying Novichok.
Soul Stopper 4.20 Salisbury is todays nap, sorry Joe I did not update yesterdays thread to say that Corinthia Knight 6.30 Pontefract won SP 4/1 .
Betweenthesticks. 13.30. Brighton.
@el gran senor had a few hours spare so I looked up about Plunkett , the chap ,not the horse. Awful end which has always given me the shivers.
I too read about Plunkett. I know it wouldn't make a lot of difference, but surely all of his various body parts currently scattered around Europe could be interred in one place (obviously Ireland).
@Jonathan Dawe Could he be an ancestor of Alice Plunkett?
Hurricane Helen 3.15S.
Dont think I've ever been first to post.
