NAP Patrick Sarsfield 6.40 Galway (where the Spanish allegedy have had a great influence in the local gene pool, hence the expression "a Galway Spaniard").
Great horse race, I don't think Strad was too inconvenienced - it probably hurt Trueshan's chances more, and we had the top three having a real battle.
I thought Coltrane was a great EW bet, but when I placed it last night, I didn't think they'd run Trueshan. Hey ho, I don't care, it was great to watch.
The Goodwood cup the obvious highlight of the day - might even bring some joy to the folks in the enclave of Bristol whom EGS isn't too fond off. I've only spent a week there on a training course a while back but actually thought it rather nice. Lovely harbour and fiercely independent - cant recall too much of the natives as i literally knew no-one there but they had a great Da Vinci exhibition on at the time of my visit i do recall well. Fascinating stuff.
I'm going to nap a horse in the Fair city of Perth today, another place blessed by wonderful views of water - in this case, the mighty Tay which spectacularly skirts the city . Byzantine empire 6.20
@jakebuckfast having added Coltrane to my tracker some time ago and backed him in his last 2 runs I'm reluctant to abandon him in his quest for a hattrick, plus the fact you are in such cracking nap form, I hope Coltrane has a cracker of a trip.
I am going to nap Pogo in the 3.00 at Goodwood in his attempt to win 3 on the bounce.
I am tempted to nap the FS to Churchill in the 18.10. at Galway called Dower House as she got to within 3L to the useful Never Ending Story on her debut.
However my nap is Midnight Run in the 17.40.
It is called 'The Latin Quarter Beginners Chase'.
Can you believe Galway has a Latin Quarter?
It has a population of 50,00 and was never granted a Royal Charter unlike the 4 Royal
Ports of Waterford, Cork, Dublin and Limerick (in that order) and is therefore not a City despite their muddled attempts to form some sort of Metropolitan Council.
Unlike Craggy Island in Father Ted they don't have a Chinese Quarter but that is coming.
Talk about pretentious but they really do have a Latin Quarter a la Paris.
I hate Galway in the same way I hate Bristol. The sneering from the locals when they hear you might be living in a bigger City like Cork or London where the open Restaurant Kitchens don't have the same level of Tattooage and Beard maintenance as Galway or Bristol.
I was born and grew up in Bristol, when it was less hip but still a very nice place. Having spent a very pleasant afternoon in Galway a few years back, I think I know what EGS means, and don't take offence!
I think the Sorbonne gained the name "Latin Quarter" for that arrondisement as the University students used Latin for their studies. Is Galway going in that direction, EGS? Shall we have to polish up the ancient language to order a vegan foie gras?
Byzantine empire wins at 5 to 4. N

You have to laugh - Strad beat by a head after getting boxed in.. Next Jockey.....
4.10 Goodwood - Lord Riddiford
Grantley Hall - 17.55 Goodwood
Due to work commitments haven't been on it so much this month, so will try my luck with russet gold nap (Goodwood 16:45)
For the sake of the tipping competition, and needing a big priced winner or two to get anywhere near the lead... I will go for win nap:
Ever Given 3.00G
Atalis Bay 4.10G.
If anyone sees Phillip...tell him that i have found his screwdriver....
Embour 16:10 Good EW Nap
