I can't really see the connections wanting Longhouse Poet to have too hard a race, if he's good enough to win fine but we all know the National is the target, so
Nav 1420 Ashdale Bob
A bit of an outsider today.. Don't be Robin Taunton 16.15 EW
Morning all
If Dilton is around I wonder what he made of Henrietta’s opinion in yesterday’s Post that Irish trainers are better than the British. She feels their yards are more professionally run with more knowledgeable staff. She ackowledges that the best, most expensive, horses are being trained in Ireland but that’s because British-based owners want their horses trained by the best trainers, and that’s the Irish.
She also says that Irish racing calendar is better organised & more competitive than ours. I think this is something most punters would agree with.
Desaray Girl 1.35 MR nap
Stansfield (e/w) in the 2:55 at Navan
Cheating Jack - 14.30 Taunton (each way nap)
Nap 3.40 Taunton - Timberman
Salcombe EW Nap 16:50 Taunt Ew nap
Longhouse Poet Navan 14.20.
Jeremy the jinn 2.30T.
Joe, I had Fakir D'Oudairies 9/4 too.
Many of you may remember that for the last couple of years I have been wittering (apparently not a US English word) on about the weight of a horse and that it should be published. Last night while waiting for toforu's brilliant selection Barraza to win at Santa Anita l thought I noticed they showed all the horses weights. Watching the racing at SA just now, it was not a dream and they are showing the horses weights. Most seem in the 1000 to 1100 pound range. But until I can find the horses previous weights when racing not much use yet.
