Apologies for late updates: minor spousal emergency, now resolved. Sorry too to EGS who did make a point of contacting me about the missed winner Roedora at 9/4: i thought that referred to 31-08 and ended up putting it on the wrong sheet. Thanks to EGS for his patience and to Pebbles and JD for picking it up - there was also a mention of a 9/1 winner there, JD; have I missed something else?

Joe, Jake nailed it. When I wrote 9/1 I let my country of residence influence me as I reversed the date. I will try to organize myself better in future and get with the program.

This may be a sign John. I have finally been going through my parents pictures and came across this picture taken by my father in 1946 while serving in the RAF when stationed in India. The race course is Peshawar (modern day Pakistan).

The fact the horse is called Indi and not India may of course mean the horse only comes close to winning.

I've managed to pick same nap as Gaz two days in a row - he's been in first both times - great minds eh. yesterdays won with a nice Jumping performance at Hexham so all good.

Today its Horizon Dove - Southwell 15.55. Maybe we'll get a threefer?

Hapy La Vie jumps really well on that ground, doesn't he. He's running off a lovely mark so should go on again in due course. The second horse Ahead Of The Field made a couple of little jumping errors when improving from the rear but stayed on well enough to suggest he's also on a good rating now (a stone kower than his last winning mark). He used to be in my traccker when trained by Emma Lavelle but I had to let him go after a series of disappointing and inconsistent performances. Jack McConnell is expert at improving such types so look out for him next time. AOTF ran in the trainer's colours last night so if he's in new ownership next time, get on.

Yeah - he seemed to love it from front. As noted in the commentary only seemed to lose interest when he ran out of fences. Will add AOTF to tracker

I'll try and make this relevent, haha. Grauniad has an article about 'Brora, the best beach you never heard of'. Utter rubbish. All oldies will remember what a good horse Hunters of Brora was and many may have enjoyed one of their wonderful ice creams at the shop. There are 2 camp sites adjacent to the beach so I'm sure generations of families will know and love it. We went there to cool off in a heatwave esp after I was fuming about a garage bill I'd just received, so I put 25 at 25s on a hottest temp occuring. Smile returned, great holiday too.

We had spectacular sheet lightning here in W Wales last night. It was literally like someone fooling around with the light switch. Or if you recall the film of that first night of the Iraq war when the US hit Baghdad with its Shock and Awe barrage. I'm not kidding.

who is an awful price looking at the quality of the race. My tracker is my defence. Miss Mach One is in there at much better odds. Took 75s to small ew as the crits seem to be suitably unpleasant about her chances, but then they were about Live in the Dream and that still touches a nerve.
