I was going to go for Allada in the 15.00 at St Cloud as the Trainer is retained by me and a few of my associates on this Forum.
I am going for Sacred in the 16.03. Newbury.
In the preceeding Race I thought the Haynes Hanson & Clark was always a listed Race but good to see ongoing Sponsorship by those three people even if the Race has been downgraded.
Quiet a list of winners. It is not Shergar that stands out but Rainbow Quest as I see life from a narrow prism.
Extraordinary is a fair word for the Good Captain. He was one of my first gigs as i went to see a band called the Comsat Angels who supported in the old Glasgow Apollo ( 1980). i didn't make it to to the end. i was 15 or 16 and it was well out my comfort zone....There may have been drugs in the air...A smell i've always hated - perhaps i can blame that night!
first race at Ayr - as mentioned earlier plan to pick some EW outsiders. Settled on Vortigan quid each way. Runs a good race - 3rd. 40 to 1 . Not a bad start. I check my account - the EW button on the bet had went sadly unticked...... At this point do you give up for day? it would only have been about 9 or 10 quid but its not a promising start....I blame work - some idiot sent me a message on teams. no respect for horses
Cant complain about field sizes today....the Ayr card looks expensive to get heavily with in particular but should be good viewing. Shommering Sands in the 4.45 looks best bet on there so that can be the nap ( i was either that or one of many possible EW fancies!, several in the same race)
Why call a Horse that instead of Euthymia or Euthymic which are recognised words.? I don't believe I have ever been or ever met someone in an Euthymic state BTW.
