A rare blank day yesterday with no winners reported. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Snake Roll in the 1.50 Carlisle. I wouldn't normally tip a 5/4 chance but I saw a clip of Snake Roll jumping a couple of fences at home the other day. He looked really fit, and, more importantly, his enthusiasm and jumping was a thing to see. I'll be following him in his novice chases.
Good luck
Joe
This is the 2nd time in a row I've napped a Horse that came 11th of 11.
What is it called in Bingo? Legs Eleven?
I missed my calling and am wasting my time dealings with Bookies.
The Elliott bumper squad has not shown much sparkle yet, hence the Thurles favourite has not been that popular in the betting. The Enabler is a nice horse though and should win a bumper before going hurdling. I wouldn't think he's been revved up for today. He ran second in his only point and might have won but for a rather injudicious ride; the winner is now with NJ Henderson and sold for the same price. This is an interesting race with De Bromhead's being well backed. He had a high head carriage in his point so hopefully that won't recur in this testing ground. Youmzain's offspring like some dig but can be quirky. The Mullins entry is a 6yo mare that has never run which doesn't appeal to me, and Patrick has been given the afternoon off. Make of that what you will. The Enabler may well be ready for this.
Burrows Hall placed at 6/1 for a £1 profit.
Guetapan Collenges won at 6 - 1.
Inca de Lafayette wins at 5/2.

Winners coming in left, right and centre this afternoon! I'll soon put a stop to that....
Nells son won @3/1.
NAP Lincoln Burrows 4.45 Carlisle.
FFS yesterday - 4th, 5th and 6th. Ignored a tracker that won at 16s, ouch! Snake Roll is a tracker, but so is Western Zephyr and so is Car 1320 White Rhino who I've just realised I forgot to press publish.

Burroughs Hall EW in the 16:10 at Carlisle
If the first Chepstow meeting of the autumn is said to herald the start of the NH season proper, for me this Carlisle card is the first good one in the North (with all due respect to Bobby Renton day at Wetherby, which is a pretty humdrum bill of fare these days).
So Carlisle it is. Having said that, the Bet In Play On Rhino.Bet Handicap Chase (3.35) is a dreary name for an open affair. I'd say there is a good case for renaming it the Coutrt Dreaming Handicap Chase, especially if that admirable horse wins it for the third time today (second in his other attempt). The major snag is this chap likes a sound surface and he won't have those conditions today, though the chase course is less testing than the hurdles. The other deterrent to a bet for me is that Dreaming is able to win when wanted for his shrewd owner, but is the outsider of the 11 runners at around 20/1. Never mind, we can still dream about that name change . . .
Two I do like on a nice card are Making Headway (2.25) and Missed Tee (4.45, the John Budden Memorial). The former has sound point form, represents a red hot yard and is a credible alternative to the penalised favourite; the latter looks well handicapped for this chase debut (albeit carrying 12st) and is the more likely winner of the Skeltons' two runners this afternoon. This may well be the last time he runs in a Class 4.
Juniper.3.10 Wincanton is the nap.

Going to take a chance with C The Bunny Run 14:25 Carl EW Nap...Pulled up on it's only 2 runs...let's hope it's not going for the hat trick.

Along with Dundalk it is the only Unesco recognised Irish Site for being an outstanding boring place of International Significance.
Like Crewe it is a Transporr Junction where there is no way to kill time if there is a delayed transfer but cover your arms over your head lean down and weep.
