Dilton mentions Ronnie Radford’s wonder goal which made me think about other sporting moments which have a special place in my mind. They’re those which, presumably because of my age, tend to make me feel a bit emotional whenever I see them. Despite having no link to Hereford or Newcastle, Ronnie’s rocket is one of those along with Gareth Edwards’ try for the Barbarians against the All Blacks, and Lester and Royal Academy winning the Breeders Cup mile.
