Three winners today: well done. I've taken Alan's advice and moved to google sheets, and will pull the two sets of May results together for the month end. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Back in the 80s, I used to go to many/most of the Sandown evening meetings. Usually, a most enjoyable and occasionally profitable evening. Only real issue I ever had was thinking I had several 5F winners only to find my horse had lost in a photograph.
Immensitude, the winner, 33-1, won by a considerable margin, at least 4 lengths. It hasn't shown any form at all in three races this year. I backed Khahira which looked superb, but was blocked in when the time came to compete, but there was no way through on the inside, so it had to come round and thus lost ground. I shall follow it.
Sandown 1842 must be a race where if you stuck another dozen no-hopers in it would be a fine Royal Ascot race. Tracker threw up 4 but I've chosen Blue Storm over On Point because the form has thrown up so many next time out winners. Blue Point was a top sprinter and is maybe destined to be champion first season sire so what's not to like about
Nap Haydock 1500 Thunder Blue
who has Kodiac on the dam's side, add an Amo Racing horse and the 8s I just got, admittedly only to 'interest' stakes seems generous.
I presume the jockey was riding under instruction. They wouldn't have been mine. Haydock favours horses up with the pace or leading, not drop him in rear giving the others a head start, try and weave your way through, run him up the arse of another, then be surprised when the race doesn't fall into your lap and the winner has flown. Needed a Holly ride. Ah well, next time.........
Watched Chelsea flower show last night . The chap from down our way in Somerset stole the show. I've been trying to get 2 of my paddocks to look like his meadow exhibit for 10 years now without a semblance of success. ( why Monty wears a scarf beats me )
Uggy has come home safe and sound and had a day out in the sun yesterday and ate up at night. We will now get a nice low mark to go to war with. For a horse bred to get 3 miles plus to run like that over a sharp 1m 7f was great.
Unfortunately the RP and Raceform have spotted it .
Full members report from Paul who visited Tim to watch Capitol Love work on Tuesday will be sent out shortly.
Mutanaaseq EW Nap won at 4/1.....got 10s last night hence EW Nap and 8s earlier in the day....wish that they would stop backing my tip in.
NAP Dingle 8.12 Sandown (The Dingle Peninsula, one of my favourite parts of the world, stunning scenery).
Al Asifah - 4/9 for a debutant. Sheesh.
Mutanaaseq 17:12 Catt EW Nap
Claymore in the 19:42 at Sandown Park.

To say I'm having a tough month, is an understatement.
See if Arieon Power in the 20.12 at Sandown can change things.
