Yesterday’s selection was another one beaten out of sight (8th of 9). It was apt that the race was one by a horse called Nao Da Mais which can translate as ‘no longer working’ – a bit like my tipping this month.
Thanks Jake. You were very unfortunate with your selection today; a 9 year old going down by a nose to a three year old. Tough luck, especially at 14/1.
I was in Edinburgh last week and despite my initial cynicism over the years it has grown on me. Whilst I have never been to Perth I can understand why Ellliot may have a reasonable claim on travel expenses if he has to sleep over an extra night like I had to do. The man loves the place.
The Racecourse should build a a Statue to the Man but just put him on the Plinth without adjoining Horse.
Edinburgh is a lovely city - one of my earliest jobs was there and i lived in various areas within it for 18 months or so. its very walkable which is a great thing. I was never fond of having flat mates so i walked a lot at night there so know well its nooks and crannies.
The walk down through Prices Street Garden in the shadow of the castle is glorious. A lovely place to spend a day with a picnic watching the day go by.
Perth is very walkable too - the only place it takes a while to get to that you might want to go is actually the racecourse!
Please accept my apologies for those 2 "tips" yesterday! I was afraid to look at the Forum to see if anyone had backed them.........I always was a bit of a magpie. You'll know better in future....................
NAP Darasso 6.10 Tipperary, 10/1 or so......................
I swear to God that Noble Birth was slight odds against when I napped it but it won at 1/3 in the 13.40. at Perth.
Smitty Macall. Tipperary 7.20.
Stoner's Choice 2.40 Perth.
I'll resist going for a big end of month winner and stick to something i hope will win! Getaway Goldie in the Perth 3.40.
Grumpy Mcgrumpface - 14.10 Perth
8.08 Newbury – Millions Memories
