Some cracking winners these past couple of days. I hope I have caught them all. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Several years ago I wrote a missive in Big Paper about the lack of runners at Yarmouth and expressed surprise that Newmarket based trainers felt that trekking across the rugged Norfolk landscape and past Mounts Bates and Pitt to view the warm waters of The German Ocean was too much effort for them.
Well it now appears the trainers can't even be bothered to go to their local course. Since the building of the of the bypass in 1975, it no longer takes 2 hours to drive along the high street in Summer so what is their excuse now?
I have scrolled through all the Racecards in the English speaking
World and can find Black Type only at Chantilly with 2 listed Races and a G2. My nap runs in the 19.50 at Chantilly.
The Race is called the La Moskova Listed Stakes and I wondered why the name wasn't censored in recent months until I remembered that the Heroic Napoleon Forces bested the dastardly Russians who were actually on our side in that Battle
Hence the name remains the same without censorship
I thought you would have been viewing in the Galleria Borghese last night at the Irish Oaks Naas Trial (12-1 winner)? That O'Brien, he puts Ryan Moore on The Algarve which was running on at the end "when handled tenderly". I made the wrong choice.
Enforced 4.20 Newmarket won SP 11/4.
Stone circle wins at 11/10
GWR had some great horses.
Just popped into The Boot and Shoe Greystoke for refreshments and they have this mural on the back wall of the pub
16.30 Newcastle - Tickets
