Another tough day on the Royal Ascot coalface yesterday, though John987 broke through in fine fashion with Rogue Millenium, also napping it EW in the daily comp. And JD had Awaal EW - well done both. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.

Very well done,I was at the Curragh when J.S rode his 1st winner at the course,that evening I was sitting opposite him in the Silken Thomas in Kildare when it was a restaurant(though not in his company)I could not believe how young he looked.He looked like a 10 year old wearing a man's suit.He has had an interesting career to say the least.

Wow, in terms of headlines, the King's horse winning and Dettori winning the Gold Cup on a horse only raced 3 times, should be pretty positive for the sport. hopefully!

Our satellite connexion was down after over two inches of rain overnight. Skybet and WHill no longer stream races to France online, either. I had to watch the odds change in running to work out the winner (which made up my losses so far thsi week). But above all, I was delighted that Dettori won the As cot Gold Cup. I think it's another act in the drama of his long goodbye to end to a marvellous career. I appreciate his showmanship which in many ways I think is genuine. He wasn't best placed but found a way through.

I think Jonanthan Dawe's comment is ironical as he napped Coltrane.

At what point was Valiant Force allowed to win the Norfolk at 150/1?

Beaten by 3/4 length by His Majesty who started at 11/2.

Ridden by a Jockey who showed on Jimi Hendrix yesterday that he is having a ball.
