Well the odd thing is he's still running plenty, which he surely wouldn't do if he was confident they were over the flu jab. They are running with little spark at the moment. Today at Wincanton they were particularly flat, with five fancied horses beaten.
Didn't this happen last year, or may have been the year before? I remember a friend over in the UK texting me saying AVOID! He had one with him so had some word I guess <<Shrugs Shoulders>>!
One at slightly longer odds than yesterdays! Dollar Bae in the 440 @ Wincanton. Should know better as I call Wincanton, 'Losecanton' as I've a poor record there! Currently 4/1 ish.
Also uninspired, and tempting for nap purposes to pick one of several favourites that seem "right". Instead though it feels like a day for a flyer. So I'm going with Chapel Stile, 13:50 Kelso.
My reasoning is just that it's not that long ago (three years or so) that he was racking up hurdle wins at and around this distance, in decent grade and company. He's clearly getting on a bit and probably wants handling gently, but you can discern a plan to get him back over hurdles after a spell chasing (and losing). So, why not? Chapel Stile for the win.
(one reason to doubt myself is that much of what I just said applies also to Final Reminder in the same race. Perhaps a place bet on each would be the thing, if I were actually betting)

I agree with many that it’s an uninspiring day of racing and I am sure that many of us are putting up a nap for this interesting competition with our having an actual bet. No harm in that.
So, what are the thoughts on the Dublin Festival of Racing and what are your Acca‘s for this great weekend of racing?
Not the most inspiring day as can be seen by those picking Famous Bridge. Skeltons seem to be lining one up but I think today will be about getting some more experience. So I'll hope WS has had the right effect on
@Harrytheactor So how did naming your horse after your lazy teenager get past Weatherbys? The one that's just won at Kelso, Up and a Tit? They chucked out the RLeague club's suggestion in days of yore. They played at Fartown so wanted the name Fartowner, not Fart Owner as thought by W. Standards may not be as high these days.
Yesterday i changed my pick as it had been chosen by a few already - as you would expect the one i was going to nap won while my alternative fell at the 2nd!.
So today sticking with Famous bridge in the Kel 4.20
Plenty of Time won at 5/4 in the 14.40 at Wincanton
Honneur D'ajonc wins at 5/6
Do you think it is more than the flu jab Harry?I will not back any of his till a couple run to form.
Evan Williams and Ewan Whillans (Kelso 3.20) are beginning to merge into one for me. Perhaps it's the dry sherry I had before lunch.
River Meadow 3.50
What's the matter with the Paul Nicholls horses, I wonder?
