Yesterday's inspired longshot added a P to his form. Today's much shorter
Nap Newc 1730 Ron O
sentiment ruling brain as the trainer only has about 5 horses and to achieve what he already has with his one is remarkable. This seasons percentages are excellent too. Only one of his fab 5 hasn't delivered (yet).
He's a good chap, Ray. This is his hobby. He has a big haulage company and you can see his bright red artics going up and down the A1. I hope Mulrennan gets the same tune out of Ron O that Tom Eaves does.
Apologies, Whip Rules again. This will end up at the bottom of the thread.
I saw a late response to my lengthy post on whip use in yesterday's thread. I have responded, but for the record, I have never stated that Tom Scudamore's retirement is a) anything to do with the Bryony Frost case or b) anything to do with the whip review. I believe it is the result of his fall and his recent kicking.
I noted Dilton commented yesterday about Lorcan Williams's ban. However, I think it is highly significant that Lorcan Williams was a serial offender during the period of grace.
"The BHA wrote to Lorcan Williams 7 times during the bedding in period & he was responsible for a 5th of the potential bans for excessive force"
Consequently, one can only conclude that he has himself to blame for failing to adapt his whip practices during races.
There is an interesting thread on Twitter in Samantha Martin''s account about the elimination of the whip. I think an open minded approach to the subject raises many interesting questions.
