It was good to see Baaeed finally hush the doubters in such spectacular fashion - visually I thought it more impressive than Frankel's 2012 victory. And, ten races in, I think connections learned they'd been running him over the wrong trip. Aside from the style and turn of foot, he absolutely hosed up, not even looking like he'd had a race, and showing why all the unspectacular victories had stood him in such good stead in taking so little out of him. Given Frankel's training problems, Baaeed is about the finest example you'll find of the perfect racehorse.
I think Pearl Beach in the 4.10 is excellent value at 33s EW to 5 places with Skybet, or, if you are feeling brave 50/1 to 4 places elsewhere. She's consistent and has clocked good time figures at this trip. Ran over shorter last twice. I have her in my LUCKY BIRTHDAY PERM of EW doubles and trebles. Good luck.
Happy Birthday Joe. Dramatised has been well backed in the first at York (13:50), but I'm going to oppose her with Lady Hollywood each way who I'm hoping will appreciate the extra furlong even more than the favorite.
Happy Birthday Joe - Hope you've something nice planned. My birthday was July it was a Monday, i was working and both my memory and my wee online diary suggest I did precisely nothing to celebrate it. Must try harder!
York looks fine today but the nap is at Stratford - La Domainale in the 2.40
My good early start to the month is drying up somewhat - returning to picking the LAST horse!! And changed my mind from Alpinista to Tuesday at double the price, but both horses put up good performances.
Fools seldom differ and I find my self concurring with EGS whether 'tis about age or
Nap York 1645 X J Rascal
who I suspect / hope is a slow learner but could well have other traits that if I referred to them in the abrupt northern manner would have me socially expelled by todays snowflake wokes.
Happy birthday to our esteemed judge. Don't worry if that birthday card from John Gosden hasn't arrived yet Joe. He swears blind that he's posted it. The posties must be on strike again.
Happy Birthday, Joe, Buon Compleanno.
NAP Master of Reality, 7.05 Killarney. I think he was 4th in Melbourne Cup, a while ago but..........................
La Domainale wins at 15/8 - actually a good victory as it made a pigs ear of 2 out and rallied well.
Many thanks for the good wishes.

Happy birthday for yesterday, Joe. The main benefit of mine each year is that my partner takes me to a meeting of my choice.
Cruyff turn 3.00Y.
Happy Birthday, Joe, though I am not sure if the cut-off point in embracing a Birthday is at 20 or 21.
Never knew so many owners wanted to win the Yorkshire Oaks.
What is that about?
It is a brutal race today.
There are soft G1s for Fillies coming up within the next 4 weeks so why now congregate?
I am going for X J Rascal in the 16.45. York. My nap.
Happy Birthday Joe! All the best :-)
