The sole winning nap on Saturday came, fittingly, from Gazp, and I'm delighted to see him winning the competition for the month, and for the first time. Gaz must be close to the most consistent tipster on here for winner picking. He rarely dabbles in long-priced ones and has admirably stuck to that strategy in the face of being bushwhacked again and again by you outsider-picking gurus. Congratulations, Gaz.
I haven't yet got the new site the way I want it, so we carry on as normal here for now.
Racing Post France correspondent Scott Burton tipped Feed The Flame a couple of moths ago at 33/1, and I tried to have a tenner with Skybet, who allowed me £7.81, so I am sitting pretty on that one having missed a decent EW payment by one place with 100/1 Carolus Magnus in the Cambridgeshire. But I must say The Arc is a race I cannot ever remember backing the winner of. I probably had a pound on Mill Reef as I loved that horse, but nothing since then. So it was with some trepidation that I had a decent bet (for me) on Continuous who hits a couple of crucial marks for me - in fine recent form, and an improver. Add to that his class, speed and stamina, O'Brien and Moore, and 6/1 seemed an excellent price. Good luck whatever you're supporting.

John valazquez riding in belmont then off to st anita 2 ride WIDE WEST and DONNER LAKE hope.
Londonofficecallin wins at 5/2
I asked yesterday about opinions on the forecast ground at Longchamps today - seems weird they are still listing it as Good to Soft!!
I really enjoyed watching Longchamps today - Ace Impact was really impressive and wonderful reactions afterwards.
(I would have done much better if they'd stopped the race with a furlong to go!)
If you blur your eyes (and drink enough) - the colours look a bit like our Talking Horses Syndicate!
I can dream, and made we want to add a visit to Longchamps to my bucket list...
Not entirely sure whether it definitely counts but my ew selection, Get Ahead, finished 4th at 10/1. It seems virtually everyone was offering ew to four places but I stand to be corrected. Do we need VAR?!
Another claim for Ace Impact. I'm hopeless on the day to day circuit. Like to think I have a handle on the pattern races.
Who was it on here who only used to have the odd £500 bet but they used to win?
Anyway, at Longchamp and loving it. Don't tend to give tips to friends but told the lads in the Belle Vue Tavern to back Ace Impact as if defeat was out of the question.
Some of them did....
Ace Impact wins at 19/10. Most impressive horse and could prove as influential a sire as his sire, GS, GGS, GGGS & GGGGS,
NAP Percy Shelley 4.00 Epsom.
Killarney 3.35 - Londonofficecallin
Congratluations to Gaz on winning the September comp.
Thanks for all the congrats. As G/F has hukum in the arc, I'll go al husn 3.50L.
Congratulations Gaz - fantastic performance.
Continuous in the arc for me.
Ill rake a chamce on Cachet EW at Longchamp 17.00
Well done Gaz.
Nap - Westover for the Arc
Congratulations Gaz on a fine month and a deserved break in the Caribbean (my laptop wrote that in an American accent).
My results are the arc are sightly better than Joe's, with a few winners over the years. Apart from DB my most memorable success was Rainbow Quest who despite the efforts of the French jockey to knock him over won the race in the Stewards room.
History is against horses over 4 years old, Leger winners, horses who haven't raced at 1600m, horses that don't like the going whatever it really is today. I wish we'd kept my Grandfather's Shillelagh so EGS could accurately guage the going.
Final answer Ace Impact in the 15:05 at Paris Longchamp.
I'm hoping Shadwell has a good day.
Al Husn 3.50L nap
Well done Gaz.
The last 3yo to win the Arc was Enable in 2017 and looking at a list of 3yo winners, the recent ones from Sea the Stars (with the exception of Workforce and Danedream) have been exceptional. Maybe it just highlights how the quality of the race has varied as some of the older horses have been unexceptional. The race is often run with plenty of give in the ground which suits stronger older horses. Today is allegedly good going which could suit the likes of Ace Impact but
Nap Arc Hukum
who, despite what a lot of folk have about the ground being unsuitable for him, has a string of wins on good going.
Get Ahead (ew) - 16.25 Longchamp.
Congratulations to Gaz for getting into double figures with his nap selections in September and gaining a well deserved win.
I didn't spot Pearls And Rubies running in the Cheveley Park yesterday as she doesn't sport Coolmore colours and there were a lot of Cards to scan
Frustrating as I have backed and napped her since her Maiden.
My nap is unquestionably Henry Adams. e.w. ParisLongchamp. 13.15 as I believe RM has picked the wrong Horse.
Well done Gaz. A winnwr eveey few days lsst month. Super consistwnt.
Arc day, heading towards end of fkat season. Its tough andcwill have to study it and the akways interesting and messy l'abbeye. Highfied P looks way to sgort at 3s for that. Puzzkes to solve..
Well done Gaz !
Ew nap. Dramatised. Longchamp 4.25.
