Just one placed tip - though a cracker at 22/1 from EGS - on what turned out a tougher day than anticipated.
I was impressed by L'Homme Presse and wish we could see more top horses in handicaps. 7/1 for the Gold Cup looks just about right but there is no value in it. If I had a spare £110 I'd put it on Constitution Hill for the Champion Hurdle at 8/11 as he'll be 3s on come the day. He got a Racing Post Rating of 176 for Saturday against 159 for Honeysuckle in March.
Skeltons are a yard I can never get right, but well done to them putting their substantial cash up to back their opinion that Le Milos had come on a ton since Bangor. I thought the horse had a hard race. My ante post selection Corach Rambler would have finished much closer had he jumped three out. He was a big drifter due, I suspect, to the ground. 20/1 makes plenty appeal for the Grand National. Quite what happened to Fanion D'Estruval, who knows. Outpaced right from the start surely most unusual for a 160 rated 20f horse, especially as there was a fair bit of money for him. He stayed on to be 7th and it wouldn't surprise me to see him in the National some day. But one to be wary of for now.

Joe,you keep quoting RP ratings , they are irrelevant in assessing a horses true ability . I know I've said it many times ,I know there's a lot who do not agree . It's how fast a horse can go from A to B and the class in which it achieves that time that counts .

I’ve been looking at something at a price in the Troytown. However, I can’t get away from the Fav, especially after Darren’s Hope franked the form of Frontal Assault’s Galway win at Punchestown last week. His second in the Irish National wasn't too shabby either.

Late nap. Late winner Hong Kong Harry at 8/5.
I think Elliott will win the Troytown but with Farclas and not the SP Favourite who is too short.
