Three good Saturday winners - well done. And thank you all for some fine posts this week. Been the best week interest and wisdom-wise since we started.
If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Very happy - it was all going wrong today, until Mawj completed my double with Chaldean!
My usual small stakes, so nothing life-changing, but the best bet for a while and never had the Guineas double before, I think.
I did think Tahiyra was going to get her too, so extra exciting...
Surely, Tahiyra is going to be better, given Dermot Weld's caveats beforehand, and not all smooth in the race, so a great performance, I think. She's not grown a lot apparently from 2 to 3, but for a horse only just ready, and not loving the ground, that was solid.
Also backed Mawj, with a free bet...put it on after a few jars yesterday, I thought EW but on checking the return a single so nearly double expected! Cracking race, tahiyra will improve a hell of a lot.
5 up already, well done. Can't really believe they are saying this may stick to 1m 2f after the way she won looking like it was easy. 2f more on better ground surely isn't going to prove too much.
Cheers mate, feet firmly on the ground after a rough period a few weeks ago. I wouldn't have thought so re 1M4F but then again I know nothing! I like the way the horse really gets stuck into its races.
I backed Tahiyra for the Oaks after her debut at Galway: 33s and 40-1. Imagine my surprise (and dismay) when she didn’t receive an entry – half sister to Tarnawa by Siyouni?
However, I’ve just seen Azazat blitz the field at Leopardstown. Bloody hell she looked good.
Doing it with Berkshire Rocco, who I keep hoping will show class that lurks. (But am a bit nervous of Cemhaan that seems to have been napped by a few 'professionals'.)
The ground did for so many yesterday, of Karl's 3 the best was 9th. Little Big Bear was last though pulling hard didn't help that one. The visual imagery of his Phoenix win was stunning but was it really that strong? At the time I thought it a cracking race but none of the others have managed a win yet. It may be the same with
Nap New 1540 Tahiyra
who won the Moyglare quite easily though 3 of the field have won since and it was soft ground that day. Aside from a blinding 125s second, Kev Ryan's horses generally seem to be running into form so I stuck a speculative few quid ew on Queen Me at 80s last night and a quick scan of the betting shows that a few others have had similar thoughts.
The Phoenix was a poor G1 ,slow time giving a bad Sfig of only 84. Persian Force was over the top by then having been ready at Herridge in early March. Of the rest nothings won since.
Good luck with her Harry,I have chanced Embrace at 66/1 just for 4 places though.I m sure her best days are ahead of her and hope today is one of them.
I think it is generally agreed in this parish that the BHA leaves a lot to be desired as a sport's governing body. But is there a stupider conglomeration of box-ticking, pen-pushing, nest-feathering busybodies than UEFA? Their latest plan is to hold the Champions League final in the USA in the future. Look, I was very good at Geography at school and I'm pretty sure America is not in Europe. The idea is to get Americans in the stadium to watch two European teams play, the vast majority of whose fans will be watching from thousands of miles away. Is this what they call Virtual Reality football?
Sorry to have upset those of a nervous disposition.
I know how much you enjoy the UEFA Europa Conference League - Michel Platini's brainchild, obviously inspired by the Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Scottish League Challenge Cup.
Sorry, I'm on a roll here. The ECB has more than its fair share of UEFA-style nutters who have received Marketing for Dummies for the tenth birthday. Having spent a fortune inventing the Hundred, one of the more lunatic confections around in sport today, which pretty much knackers the midpoint of the domestic cricket season, they are already abolishing it and reorganising T20 - again. Mr I. Toldyouso has been approached for comment.
Quick reminder: the Aussies arrive in a month's time but the ECB clever clogs are too busy thinking about floodlit cricket with people fannying around in colourful pyjamas with booming pop music to worry about proper cricket. (Now I'm sounding like the letters page of the Telegraph. Yikes.)
Rattle and hum 7,00 roscommon is now 8 stone
I saw him in thurles track and owner said he had too much weight...
Royal Rhyme 5.25 Newmarket won SP 4/1.

1000 Guineas a bit of a lottery Sure to be a few at a price that pllace but picking one a guess too far today.
New Energy leop. 14.50 looks a more straightforward prospect for nap.
Warning: Off topic.
