A nice Saturday winner at 17/2 for John987, and a good placed price for EGS - well done. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
There are still a select few punters who can move markets antepost for the Cheltenham Festival and JP McManus has to be up there with the heaviest hitters around. When his Fact To File was beaten at DRF by John Kiely's A Dream to Share in early February JP must have been a bit stunned - FTF had been among the market leaders for the Champion Bumper since last September. He then did a very JP thing - basically, if your horse beats mine I want to have your horse. So he got out his cheque book within a week of that Punchestown race and snapped up A Dream To Share who won fair and square in probably the best bumper in the British Isles so far this season. Fact To File's price has now plateaued at around 7/1 while A Dream's has crashed from 33/1 to 7/2, most of that coming in the aftermath of the Punchestown win. It will be a big test next Wednesday for his young amateur rider John Gleason, but he gets on very well with the horse and is a talented youngster, as shown this afternoon in the Naas bumper.
