My nap was Champ Kiely at 10/3 in the 14.20. I did specify e.w. as I was expecting him to be double that price.
Harry has mentioned him and that is a strong factor in my watching him but the NRNB rule should really apply to the Novice Races at Cheltenham not the Championship Races. If Facile Vega got injured who would run where?
I hope a few of us followed Joe in on Broken Quest. I did but my big bet was an ew on Rameses de T. It was a pleasant surprise to see BQ sneak into 6th but was the horse ever put in the race? At this point I could go into my periodic rant about horses that lob along in rear and have no chance of getting near winning should the race not fall apart. The vets race was like that, the front 2 enjoying themselves and none other got a look in. Just the wrong one won!
Leo made a good case for L'Astroboy in the Tolworth and I've stuck him in the tracker. The Ruckers have some fine horses and coughed £160k for
Monbeg genius in the Chepstow 2.10 is my attempt at ending the drought... no winners today then perhaps a collective rain dance required. Ot we get Kirk Douglas .
There's also a wonderful old spear of destiny song called Rainmaker ..must now play that. That's sung by Kirk Brandon . You don't get many kirks in a post..then two come along. A bit like winners ..
Was listening to an old spear comp the other day for the first time in years, this & the wheel stood out. Cracking live band in the mid to late 80s....
A week may well be a long time in politics but it’s also a bloody long time when you’re not selecting any winners! I’ve no insight as to why they’re suddenly proving so elusive but here’s hoping Clondaw Bertie in the 15.10 at Chepstow can get me on the scoreboard.
At last some winners today.

Jumped beautifully except for getting a shade close to the last.
Monbeg genius wins at 5 to 4
Walkinthewoods. Chepstow 3.40.
Uplifting story about the trainer of the "legend" Sussex Road.

2.00 Southwell - Raymond Tusk
This fella puts up one decent performance every 7 or 8 runs. Here's hoping today is the day.
I think it might be 3 days with no winners😮 for anyone,a new record?
Todays nap is Heva Rose 1.10 Chepstow.
It is a Nine Runner Race at the 14.20 Race at Naas as I Speak and I am not sure that Champ Kiely needs to improve to come 3rd at odds around 7/1.
That is my e.w. nap
