Saturday winners for EGS and Highflying - well done. Let me know if I've missed anything.
I enjoyed York, and Scampi ran well though his fate fell as I'd feared; if he cannot get an uninterrupted run he loses interest. He travelled so well into the race but ran into a wall of horses. J Hart said he did not stay, but I doubt that. He's well worth another chance at the trip.

Cherry won 4/6, just nice to get back on a winner after 2 weeks in warmer climes.
Ocean Quest wins at 10/11.
I wouldn’t normally select an odds-on shot, but in mitigation my other trackers were NRs at Goodwood. This speedy filly was a fine 4th behind Shaquille at Ascot & although it might sound counter-intuitive, the only thing stopping me from having a decent plunge was her price. She was the highest rated in the race, the track and ground would suit, and she had the best known form. I reckoned she should have been 1/2 or 8/15. I saw her priced up at evens and thought I was missing something. Us punters are a strange old breed.   Â

We were nearly late for the Nunthorpe day a couple of years back because of the jam caused by Leeds Festival so we travelled up to the family on Thursday. The phone internet is 'patchy and annoying' so we rely on old fashioned phone lines but we found someone had left the road on a bend, into a field and hit a telegraph pole breaking the wire. There it dangled swaying gently in the breeze.
All dressed up on Friday morning at the time the taxi was due my cousins mobile rang and the cab firm informed her they could not use their own app, did not know our location and when informed said they could be with us in half an hour. OK we won't be using them again so I drove and parked under a tree in York's splendid car park (I mean that). This year cousin had gone for the Voltigeur Restaurant and at over £500 pp inc VAT I was mighty glad he had paid.
Long time since we've been in there as we got hooked on the Ebor which is a bit more but drink is included with a surcharge for fizz. The cheapest of that was Mercier at £48 a pop and its easy to see why I rattled up a bar tab of well over 200 (cba adding it as I settled a few times to save the heart attack that would happen if I got it all at once. The Yorkshireman's cry of 'Ow much?!!! would have rung out.). The Voltigeur used to be a bit of a riotous assembly but on our day it was a splendid atmosphere. There really were tables for 2s and 4s - it used to be about 10 and you'd get put on a table with others to fill spaces.
I thought things were going well when Coltrane went in. The wheelbarrow had already been out for the Princess but I put some more on just to get the pleasure of picking up my winnings. I thought Live in the Dream was giving the Princess a good lead and he was supposed to fold in the final furlong. If the Princess and Bradsell ran up to their marks, which I reckon they just about did, then LITD ran at least a stone above his previous best. Didn't help the finances when in the next 2 races I backed the 2nd. A bit frustrating! A day out to recommend to all though, do it if you can as York is a fantastic racecourse.
The Saturday wheelbarrow was, through determination and grit, put on Kinross, got an unthinkable 0/30 and then I had a bet on Frankie in his last Ebor. Bloodied and unbowed to fight another day.

Joe. I've watched the race back countless times trying to work out how Script got stopped in his run.
Scampi had ran 27 times before yesterday ,failing to stay over Ayrs easy 1m5f trip so it's fanciful to suggest he did yesterday or will in the future. Once he had daylight he had every chance and bottomed quickly and I would trust his rider and past evidence.
You've a nice fun horse there that will pay its way over the distances he's been successful at .
It's a good project to get people involved in ownership. Best of luck.
