Pebbles bursts back on to the scene with a nap of The Lincoln winner Migration at 18/1, and Robicheaux had the 3rd, Baradar, at 9/1 EW. Great work. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Extraordinary scenes at Downpatrick in the hunter chase. Shantou Show was backed at 5/4 and shorter on Saturday afternoon following his battling point win at Kirkistown two weeks ago. However, he hadn't been jocked up overnight and punters got severely cold feet when Ms McGoldrick was named as the rider, boasting no experience under Rules and just the three wins between the flags. Shantou was totally friendless in the market and was allowed to drift from 5/4 to 13/2 at flag fall - then proceeded to get totally left at the start. Never mind, the jockey remained ice cool, bumbled round for a circuit before creeping into it, jumping neatly and biding her time. It was not until coming round the bend up the inside into the home straight that she played her ace, which was the gears this horse has! In a matter of strides the partnership went clear. McGoldrick did some exaggerated looks behind her then celebrated with a deserved fist pump as they crossed the line, winning 13 lengths eased down. Fantastic stuff.
Congratulations Pebbles on your selection yesterday. Having both 1st and 2nd on my trackers list I was pleased to see the exacta paid 212 to 1. Naturally, I didn't do it, although I did at least back both of them each way.
Also, congratulations to Grace Mcentee on her first US winner at 51/1 on her last day over here.
Forte was very impressive in the Florida Derby. From a wide draw nothing really went right for him but he showed grit as well as class to get the job done. He faced the awful kickback too which was a good sign for the big one. Hope he gets a more favourable draw up there.
I thought Jose had done the dirty on his brother at one stage. I'm still feeling pretty good having got 9's on Forte.
I don't know if you watched Flavien Prat's ride on Angel Of Empire in yesterday's Arkansas Derby. Although not favorite, he rode him as if he was the best horse in the race. A wonderful exhibition of race riding.
No, I will try and find that. You describe FP's qualities perfectly. His mounts are fooled into thinking they are superstars. Three-quarters of a million dollars for winning the Arkansas Derby - wow.
Great start Pebbles, I'm just hoping you've set yourself a level of achievement that will fog your future selections I enjoyed spending time to work out the Lincoln and the best I could muster was 5th. Taking no time today

Had a day out and not long back. I was happy with
The Imposter winning at 4s,
and then I saw that Jake had pulled another out of the hat! Excellent stuff!
Imposter wins his sixth handicap of the campaign and he was still only running off 106 today. He must be one of the handicappers of the season.
