Missed the first couple of races watching the Boys in Blue throw away a 2 goal lead. Backed Gold Charm, never looked like winning but Zabeel Champion a better payout than I expected. GE is just taking money away, he could be another member of the Soprano family.
Whatever the reason for for the long gap, the wait was worth it. Milton Harris will be mightily relieved his costly purchase (225k) from Irish ponits, Walk Like The Man, did the business first time under rules. He tanked through the race and needed only a single slap to secure the win. The second and third horses came from a different parish to grab minor honours. It will be interesting to see how the form of this race stacks up.
i wa surprisd to see Paddington back today - but i guess the lure of champions day won out. He was a tired horse last run and why he got sent off favourite in testing going beyond me, Folks just bet names sometimes. Winner won well under a clever ride.
Surely Art Power is overpriced at 40/1? I have to say that in the wthout Kinross market, 22/1 each way looks very attractive. His win in July at the Curragh was in a very good time on soft ground.
Well now you're asking. I do like Time Lock but it's a fairly quick turnaround (22 days) since her impressive win on G/F at Newmarket. She will go on today's surface but that short recovery time for a filly concerns me. No strong view, but with the tongue tie restored One For Bobby at 40/1 e.w. looks a fun bet.
The 4 e.w. Horses I had lined up yesterday have contracted in price probably due to NRs.
That includes Point Lonsdale who was tipped by Tangovictoriaindia when he was 66/1 and is now only 25/1. Red Riding Hood will always shame her lineage but she is now only 50/1 when I had a chance at 80s.
Gleaning and Gushing have not gleaned or gushed their prices.
My nap today is Blackpool. 16.46. Leopardstown.
Not named after the Lancashire Resort but my directly neighbouring Parish in Cork City.
It has all the advantages of being a bit downmarket compared to it's immediate proximity to the posh neighbourhood I frequent.
Looking forward to a good day's sport, as has been said.
Holding my bets on Champion Stakes for now, and wary of who might pull out of other races too.
I know it's an old record, but 'Talking Horses' on Champions Day, and what is meant to be Dettori's farewell, and no comments enabled - possibly not missing much these days!
The only time I was ever upgraded on a flight was a Latam flight from Santiago de Chile to Rio de Janeiro. Up the front with a window seat. We crossed the majestic Andes and then over vineyards of Mendoza. Spectacular. The view of the sun setting over Guanabara bay wasn't bad either.
Another chance to lose the small wheelbarrow load on Kinross. Being a miserable old git I'm still grumbling about the Foret. Just for good measure I added a double with Paddington. Lissen was sweet on him earlier in the week. I know he's just a smooth talking believable blarney boy too.
Nap Ascot 1350 Kinross
because I've no confidence in my long shot sporters today. I suppose the best bet should be Lissen to be our champion trainer.
Seddon certainly gave me a run for my money. I don't think I've ever seen a horse with a longer tail than Snap Decision.

Anyone know why there was a scheduled gap of 45 minutes before the last race at Newton Abbot?
Bopedro EW Nap 4th 10/1
Big Rock ,sheer class . Ace Impact brushed him aside easily so how good is he really .
The Guardian have just opened up comments. I will be certainly moderated, so I will post my opening comment here:-
"Thank you so much for allowing Comments on Horse Racing in The Guardian. Where would we be without you?"
NAP Term of Endearment 2.25 Ascot.
" Alex Fergosun would have trouble nanaging him"
Why say this?
Why?
There is only another month of involvement with your organisation and you think of the negative.
I don't get it.
He didn't mention the Sir before Alex Fegurson but SAF never undermined an employee when a Mic is in his mouth

Clever ride by Dettori to steer him wide from the Schoolyard Bully Kyprios
Legal reform Catterick 16.20 is the nap today.
Damn.
