Finest View finished first at 6/4, but lost the race in the Stewards Room. Both my bookies have paid out ‘first past the post’. I’m unsure of them blogs rules, so I’ll leave this with Joe.
I’m working out of the London HQ and last Thursday I popped down to Sandown. I had the honour of conversing with Laurie Williamson, the groom of the great Brigadier Gerard. Laurie is not only an absolute gent, but his advocacy skills are also top class. He dismantled every claim that I made about Frankel’s supposed superiority. My partner was about to throw in the towel when I was convinced that I had Laurie on the ropes: “You must admit that Frankel is a much better sire?”. “Look”. says he “The Brigadier was never made available to commercial breeders and Frankel probably covered as many mares in his first 2 seasons at stud as he did in his whole career”. After taking apart every single one of my arguments by referencing Timeform ratings and quotes from jockeys, Laurie shook my hand and with a twinkle in his eye told me “That’s what’s great about this game; it’s all about opinions”.
I have a confession to make,I have backed the forum favourite Jamie Spencer on Folk Dance 2.55 Haydock EW at 50/1 EW 4 places.I am not sure if this is a yellow card or a red card offence.
Carry on! Ignore the preconceptions. Your selection yesetrday was inspired, as I said (today in yesetrday's thread). I have to follow on that basis alone....I also found yesterday (in a period of sustained "winning drought") an 18-1 winner in Sea the Casper - first time out sired by Sea the Stars. However, my deficit vs the bookies continues.
Thanks for opening up Quai and I would like to add a link to the Syndicate’s trainer in France, Tim Donworth, who is featuring this week on Thoroughbred tales.
If you follow this link then you will see some aspects of Tim’s training operation.
Syndicate members will be receiving further information on our horses later today.
I'm sure the odds will be crap, but I have a rule that if Roger Varian sends a runner to Beverley, I back it. So my nap today is Robert Walpole (16:25). Hoping Varian finds some form today across the other meets as well. Good luck all.
Robert Walpole won 11/10
Boardman won 11/8

That final bend at Cartmel can be lethal.

Rebel at dawn. Cstt 3.04
My nap is in the 13.05. at Navan.
Statuette is the first Runner of Justify for APOB and over 5 Furlongs of all distances for a Belmont winning Sire.
There was a second Runner by Justify in the same Race who was scratched this morning called Unless which I read as Useless.
This is an example of chancing your arm. Hoping you get a 5F winner from a Sire's 1st crop and it will be all over the promo material.
Olivia Ma in that Race is my nap.
Fancy Boardman again myself but no excuse for doubling up today, plenty of beting opportunities. Perhaps foolishly Dragon Symbol 1.45H.
This was his where the wins ended last year and he's only 2lbs higher so hoping history will repeat
Nap 1545 Chester Boardman
Lady Nectar 5.24 Catterick is the nap.

Is it not the 28th today? We're only an hour ahead here............................
NAP Knightlaila 4.00 Navan, decent price (9/1 or so, in a tricky competitive race)
Thanks, Quai. Much appreciated.
