Two of the three are by the US sire Quality Road whose progeny seem to thrive on fast dirt. I doubt Curragh handicaps were on the radar when these matings were planned.
Art Power benefited from the watering though as all his best form has been on softer ground. Ironically he has got closest to the standard time of the two-day meeting so far. It's a much deserved first Group 2 for the 6yo - I still nurse hopes that he might yet bag a Group 1 some day. I'm sorry that that stalwart of the northern weighing room David Allan didn't keep the ride. He's done years of work with this horse yet today he missed out on his finest hour and instead is fiddling around in three York handicaps.
I love those Haydock sprints and they will no doubt be promoted under the new plans. My feeling is that on a beautiful day like today the prospect of putting my feet up beside the barbie at Cartmel would be where I'd like to be and I'm sure that sort of day is more likely to attract newcomers and it won't be protected. One has only to consider their camping development. The facilities are pretty poor by CAMC standards but they can't provide enough pitches to meet demand.
See the French cops didn't mess about dealing with protestors blocking the road yesterday. Tear gas and baton charge soon sorted them out .
Our lot arrested a lad who was trying to get to work and sorted a couple out .
As the Jockey Club paid up to get the injunction and the bloke whose named has said he will it ignore it and disruption will happen why not arrest him now.Thats contempt isn't it.
If 3 cloth eared stupid women pinched 3 of my lambs isn't that called theft ,why are the idiots still free to post videos of themselves with the animals.
I can shoot dogs on my land bothering my livestock ?

Getaway Luv 3.55 Cartmel is today's nap.Everywhere I look today I am finding the racing very trappy.I intend to tread more carefully than usual and just hope I can follow my own advice.
Songo what you doing.... I'll give them a 200 yard start. then watch me catch em.
Chipstead won at 12/1.
I’ve had a real struggle selecting winners on this forum over the last few weeks. This was very welcome.
NAP 4.05 Chester - Red Mirage
Interesting to see 3 Ballydoyle Runners in a lowly prized Handicap. The 16.15 at the Curragh is not the Ceserewitch or Ebor.
I am going to go against the tide with Canute as my e.w. nap who is around 66/1.
NAP Classic 2.05 Goodwood.
As others have noted an awful lot of racing today for nap purposes. Cartmel 5.05 Mary Cassatt
Lady Irvine in the 19:30 at Monmouth Park.
Ridiculous watering at the Curragh last night.
Nothing got within 2.5 seconds of standard yesterday evening.
I’ll nap Quar Shamar to cause a surprise in the Irish Guineas.

Songo 20:40 Salisbury EW Nap
