My fav course kicked me in the nuts this week, but it was still a super meeting. I'm sure the pain we endure is one of the reasons we bet and makes winning all the sweeter.
Nap 1532 Thirsk Tinto
Back down to a winning mark, better ground, stable and jockey in form, what could possibly go wrong?
The news channels keep assuring us that there is a cost of living crisis. I was looking at the price of restaurant tickets for the Friday of the Ebor meet. Nearly sold out already. Wow.
Captain Tommy 2.10 Bangor is the nap,I don't know if there were any winners yesterday but if so well done on a hard week.
I tried to post a reply on the Man city thread yesterday but kept on getting a message saying I did not have permission to post on that thread.Has anyone else come across this or was it a one off?
I suppose the 3 biggest Races this weekend are at Auteuil and Pimlico (0.01 [GMT]) which means that National Treasure might be my Sunday Nap.
The Lockinge often goes to pot and Ballydoyle should have fielded either Broome or Emily Dickinson just for the sake of it instead of wasting their time yesterday.
W.Mullins has not left the kitchen sink in Closutton en route to Auteuil. It is firmly with him.
No outcomes at Auteuil this weekend can compensate for the loss of Dawn Run but W.Mullins still believes in redemption.
Interesting choice of Riders.
I do have to have a bet on Asterion Forlange as for no scientific reason I think he might like this Race but my nap is Klassical Dream who I have always found incredibly boring in the same Race at 14.15. Auteuil.
The 4 Ballydoyle Raiders at Newbury will be part of my coupon.
Yer man Hewick is an unrealistic favourite in the feature race at Auteuil. The French hurdles won't bother this well travelled character, but surely the ground will. Mind you, carrying only 10st10lb the Irish contingent will think they have got loose. I'm looking at a French course specialist to back, and I think last year's winner Hermes Baie at 12/1 each way looks sure to go well again.
Chindit ran an absolute screamer at the weights in the Lockinge. What a grand horse he is.
Modern Games won at 3/1
Captain Tommy 2.10 Bangor won SP 6/1.
Don't think I picked a winner at York all week, not even any hard luck stories just a sea of horses never getting into races.
Over stiiks today with Gabriel's getaway on a 4 timer at Bangor 15.25.
Al barez 5.00N.
Modern Games 3.35 Newb

An enjoyable day was had at York yesterday.
A strongly run mile on good ground, ought to suit Lusail. At 40/1, I'll nap him ew.
Lockinge.
