Opening. Will update spreadsheet on Sunday. Good luck.
I wish Philip Hobbs would knock the novice chasing on the head for Thyme Hill and supplement him for the Stayers Hurdle. Given some spring ground he'd be right in the picture even at nine as the division isn't that strong just now.
Dan Skelton talks a good game doesn't he, but in his heart of hearts he must see that the GC is not the race for Protektorat. He spoke about getting him cherry ripe for the Betfair which he won impressively, then easing off again before this race. But he ran exactly the same race today vis a vis Frodon that he did at Haydock, and Frodon is in the veteran category now, so today has to be disappointing. The Irish GC team will beat this lot out of sight.
Vazir - 7.30 Kempton
What a race for Ahoy....brilliant....couldn't bring myself to nap
I hope some on here keep the faith with Joe on Ahoy Senor - I certainly didn't, but good performances from Ahoy and Sounds Russian.
Fair play to him. He has an engine. Pity he's such an awkward jumper. Costs him lengths. Amazed if there's a GC winner in that race.
Dashel Drasher. 15.00. Cheltenham.
Twig - 14.40 Doncaster
My selection a NR, so I'll switch to Presenting Jeremy. Uttoxeter 3.42.
Tea For three 3.15D nap
Cotswold Chase and Cleeve Hurdle should be good races but nothing I want to back. Gone for Twig and Simply the Betts for bigger price EW double today...
Oh dear, Simply the Betts didn't give me much of a ride for my money - cheek pieces, not helping for him, but possibly did for Il Ridoto!
I'm ew with Brave seasca today at Cheltenham. 13.50. Same as Leo I see...
Windsor Avenue 15:15 Donny EW Nap......Sky are paying 5 places in an 11 horse race.
4th thank god for Sky got some 28s and 33s
More rubbish yesterday. Oh what joy it gives me to pick a horse that waits to ensure it sets off well in the rear and stays there throughout the race. Why the f did they bother? I'd a good day apart from that and it is still annoying me!
Nap Donny 1440 Idalko Bihoue
Twisters like runners at Cheltenham and save for a couple of long shots in the PP the focus today is Donny where despite all the usual furore about Trials Day there are plenty of stars both equine and human.
Union Park - 13.01 Fairyhouse
I need a couple of miracle's to trouble the judge this month, lets hope Fern hill 12.10 Cheltenham is the first ,well done yesterdays winners.
Nap Cheltenham 1.50 - Brave Seasca (each way)
Ew nap. Bonttay Cheltenham 3.35.
Non-runner - you've got time to pick another...
Doing well, new apprentice jock....https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/horse-racing/64433913
Such a mature, talented lad, he looks younger than my partners 12 YO grandson!
He has quite a few rides at Lingfield tomorrow / today might be worth a lucky 15
Small ew L15 on, 1st 2 placed...
Will be interesting to see how Ahoy Senor does tomorrow
I have been looking at the Cotswold Chase for half an hour and have given up,a no bet race for me but I am looking forward to watching it.
