Joe possibly destroyed the thread with one single post (and I saw that coming in mentioning clothing) but the Ref was incompetent in deleting almost everything I found in that thread reallty nteresting and everything else should have stood.
You're not allowed to mention outside commercial websites on the G. We al know who the athleisure wearing fellow is. He's been a spectre at the Talking Horses feast for many years now.
I've a useless record in the Lanzarote, so I'll give it a go. The favs are too short IMHO, it should be about 8s the field. So that discounts a host of them. Theories abound. Nevison has 6 from the last 10 being claimers. I can see that and it cuts the field down to 5. Too many for me! Since the distance was lengthened (2006?) the most winning trainers are on 3, Hendo and team Williams, which cuts the options to 3.
Nap Kemp 1440 Pentland Hills
falls into both theories. Good luck to Moida, is he still around? In the real world I've backed all 3.
Sadly I have to say he is better off sitting on an Armchair with his favourite Single Malt Whiskey than expecting Pentland Hills to achieve anything than his past remarkable feats.
Moida is alive and kicking, though I believe not in great health. He last posted on 9 January. He is a heavy hitter in football multiple bets, as we all remember. Pentland Hills pulled up before two out in the Lanzarote, but he was in good company - he was one of no fewer than eight good horses that pulled up at that point in the race. The ground was extremely testing and the times reflected that all day. Green Glory ran well but as his trainer feared, toiled up the hill in the soft going and finished tired. Don't forget he is 6lb higher in the handicap here than in Ireland, so the handicap helped to get a home win today. Galling for the Byrnes team after there problems across the Irish sea in time.
As there is so much choice today...I am going to try a nap that I have always wanted to do...that is nap the outsider in a 4 horse race...12:55 Kemp Kylenoe Dancer in from 200/1 to 50/1 is the nap.
I know backing each-way isn't everyone's cup of tea, but yesterday's selection was my fourth second in a row. If I were to back something in a walkover it'd somehow finish runner-up.
Olivia Darling won at 11/10
Olivia Darling in the 19:03 at Tampa Bay Downs

Nice to see some high jinks over on the G with Joe picking up a Red.
