Naps Table Update
We are rolling in winners in these early days of February. Yesterday Gaz P had Weevil at 10/3, and Craig had Dusart as well as his winning nap Dollar Mae. El Gran Senor kicked us off today with a 16/1 winner (EW) in Enormous: Luke H picked The Street at 7/2 and Highflying (Welcome) Doc Kananga at 7/2. Fine tipping, folks.
My nap runs in the 7.30, and I will update once he wins!
If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll fix it.
Great racing in Ireland today. Good luck all
Joe
My ew bet on Maze runner paid me out. I don't know whether 6th place counts on here.
The Cob placed at 50/1 (1/4 odds)
Rightplacerightime is the EW NAP in the 1445 @ Leopardstown 7/1
Seems like the kind of top-class racing day to 'jump' back into things. Nap: 2.45 Leopardstown, Rightplacerightime, 7/1. Not a typo sadly -right and time are unattractively elided in this horse's name but it's bottom weight in a handicap anything could feasibly win. Also has Rachael Blackmore on one of her best non-Honeysuckle chances in the DubRacFest (as nobody calls it but 'DRF' seems a bit too reductive) this weekend. Enjoy d'Allen (or D'allen or Dallen, take your pick) is 2nd choice in that race with his massively lower hurdles mark. NB: Rivière 'Étel, 2/1 in the 2.10 Irish Arkle. May you all have 'enormouse' luck whichever you've backed!
The Big Doyen, 4.25
Nap Beauport 2.55S (between us we'll hopefully get the winner!)
Was going to nap If The Cap Fits, but a certain in-form tipster has beaten me to it.
So,nap is Dallas Des Pictons 2.45L
Lots of options today and I'll row in with
Nap Sand 1455 Ree Okka
who could be leniently handicapped
Global Citizen - 13.50 Sandown (nap)
While others may be rolling in winners, i'm running fiercely into the woods away from them as if chased by the creature from the classic Night of the Demon (1957). Juilian Karswell is a wonderful villiian in that movie beautifully played by Niall MacGuiness, - a Dublin boy who was never in enough films - linking us to this weekends racing in a roundabout way.
its a Saturday, we can go the long way if we like.. Im going to trust in Dubai quest to give me my first winner of the month Weth 15.38. I can hear it....
its in the trees , its coming....
.
With EGS in dynamic form it's time to throw an early Hail Mary.
The Cob ew at Sandown in the 14:55
Dan's Le Vent 2.55. Should be well suited by the step up in trip.
Very little time to read up or watch today, so I'll go with Frodon in the 15:15 at Leopardstown, just because he's a lovely horse.
If The Cap Fits 2.55 Sandown is the win nap, though in the real world I will look for extra places for a small EW bet.Well done to all yesterdays winners with a special mention to EGS.
Linelee King in the 3:30 Sandown (nap)
I was considering captain kangaroo (14:45) at big odds and I usually follow Frodan off a cliff, but today I'll nap Wor verge (mus, 15:10).
Going for Janidil in the 3.15 at Leopardstown as my nap
Pedant corner but my nap was Enormouse not Enormous.
I feel empathy for that man with a betting slip on Dunfermline in the 1977 Oaks and confused it with a Town 30 miles away with no possible alternative Gallic spelling and Joe was the Bet Shop Manager.
I am currently building a coupon at Leopardstown today on Horses who finished 2nd on their last run but might do better this time around.
It includes Grand Jury in the 13.05, Vauban in the 13.35, Riviere D'etel in the 14.10 and The Jam Man in the 14.45.
As a nap, I am tempted by the Ricci silks with a Horse starting with V and Riviere D'etel looks fun but had a hard Race last time out.
I am going off radar with Cilaos Emery e.w. in the 15.15 in an 8 runner field.
So, Easysland is the EW nap at some half-arsed, under funded race tomorrow.
