Very nicely done RobJ, and Kitsune Power was a good winner, further improving Varian's very impressive strike rate at Bev. Many Congrats - have a great weekend 😁
Interesting (to me anyway) that the winner of the 1st at Goodwood was Fairy Cross. The commentator said that Fairy Footsteps was a previous winner of the race which was a reminder that she was my first ever AP bet. My second AP bet was Shergar. I should have quit making AP bets at that point, as my next 20-30 AP bets were all on Simply Great. Pretty sure my next winning AP bet wasn't until Don't Forget Me (2000G) at 33s.
My best ever bet was signing up to Bluesquare for a £10 free bet, in I think 2004, Clan Royale impeded HedgeHunter but I thought they were the best two horses, and about 10 months in advance I put it on Hedgehunter at 33-1 for next year's Grand National which he won 2005.
I still remember the phone call to Bluesquare when the lady said I had done rather well :D 😎
No outlay and £330 return, never come close to that - but Sotsass, thanks to Dilton, is the next best single AP bet.
Very good card at the Curragh today & very much looking forward to seeing Cairo in the first. The predicted price in the RP was 13/8. Fair play to anybody who got odds against.
Sticking with my theory of always backing Varian horses at Beverley. He's sent two horses there today (as many as he usually sends in a season). Kitsune power (14:05) and cell sa beela (nap) (16:20). Singles and double.
Seeing as though I've not been around for the last month, I thought I'd best make up for it with a nice double (sod's law I napped the much shorter starting price). Varian doesn't let you down at Beverley! Took better odds this morning before they came in, so that's my weekend paid for. Woohoo!
Cell sa beela won with starting odds of 5/6
Not 14s but i'll take Hereditary rule winning at 11 to 8
NAP Elephant John, 4.15 Curragh, 20/1 or so............

On the grounds I can see the Gulf of Mexico from my house (I can't, but it's only 20 miles away) he should be my nap, but isn't.
Cotai West in the 15:45 at Beverly.
Great comment in todays' big paper by DNB.
Badly drawn and 3yos have a poor record in the Bullet but I think there's a lot to like about
