Looks like an empty Sunday pending JD's midnight express in the States. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
An interesting, probably unique cross-card/cross-continent treble on Saturday for Fitri Hay. Frankie piloted a double for her at Kincsem Park, Hungary, which was just the hors-d'oeuvres for Charlie Hills big winner at Kentucky Downs, ridden by JP Spencer. Clever race planning, or are Jim and Fitri Hay simply very wealthy people with an awful lot of horses?
PS: I looked up Ancient Rome's prizemoney for the Kentucky Downs race on ATR's website, where the winning pot was $10,000. I momentarily thought Hills had lost his mind chasing that after the horse 50k for a Goodwood handicap last time. Then I went to a more credible source and discovered th ewinner earned the equivalent of £985,000. For a company that presumably pays a lot for the rights to screen US racing, the reliablity and comprehensiveness of their data leave a lot to be desired.
Just back from the villa, the trip back from Caribbean was delayed so a bit jetlagged. The days spent on the beach were lovely but unfortunately my bookie heard I was on the island and sent one of his cars round every evening to take me to his casino. Inside the casino looked like the parade ring at Royal Ascot with all the high rollers there.I felt a bit out of place wearing my off the peg Burtons suit and without a page 3 girl by my side. On the last night I tried to impress a local lass going all in on red but but when the ball stopped only my face was red. Strolling home alone along the beach I realised I feel more at home if I go to a Betfred in Blackpool or have a few days in Benidorm.
Nice change. Was 15/8 not 16s that you may have read. Got me singing the Andy Pandy song though.
I can't stand the heat so my longer hols are somewhere on the outskirts of Scotland - on an island or near Sheikh Mo's pad. Getting a bet on is more likely to include shambling about trying to get decent reception on the moby and being distracted by wildlife rather than a wildlife page 3 across the table!
Five towns won at 5 to 4
Voodoo ray won 5/2.
Did somebody say recently that you can get bets on with Bet365 and Hills while you are in Spain? Without a VPN?
Looby 2.25 Brighton won SP 15/8.
Nothing to enthuse me today, so I'll plump for my fav combo at the mo.
