Looks like we are solidly back on track this weekend: well done winners. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
I know this is a VAR decision but I think I definitely said Light Infantry down to the 2 each way places who returned at 17/2 in the 15.25 at ParisLongchamp
Hong Kong Harry in the Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile Stakes at Santa Anitia. Checking with Captain Mainwaring the off time is 13 minutes past 24 hundred hours.
Tempting to go for Mahanakhan with Buick riding for Tim Easterby with the stable on a high. Art Power demolished his field at the Curragh and Boardman achieved what I thought impossible at Chester.
A Group One on a Monday and it isn't at Ballinrobe but you can keep searching as there be one
Light Infantry.15.25 e.w. ParisLongchamp.
I love this Race and I think it fits nice in the European Calendar.
I never saw Allez France but she was as iconic to me as a Child as Mummy, Daddy, Nijinsky, Flyingbolt or Arkle
I always wanted a French Girlfriend but whatever .
I just knew who Allez France was which is called semantic knowledge.
Goldikova won this Race twice but she plodded a bit and if you want to see a Horse quicken then you have to faint like I did in her Foret wins. Wow! Can a Horse get from a to b in that time frame?
I know it can only go down to 2 places but I still don't know how I can not not nap Light Infantry.15.25 who I genuinely believe will break quickly and lead the whole way
I did Golden Fleece after his Maiden win at 25/1 win only for 1 Punt (pre-euros) AP Epsom Derby and you backed an unsound Horse.
Okay, come to think of it they were both unsound.
John Oaksey was adamant Golden Fleece was top heavy with a "scratchy action" (I never made that mistake in my personal life) but I had the last laugh on Oaksey.
