The Guardian has a thoughtful piece about the conflict between the freedom to demonstrate and the right to enjoy horseracing without interference. It reckons the Derby is a vulnerable target.
I made a last minute decision not to go to Plumpton as I fancied the Ludlow card more, unlike you I don't think I would have picked many winners at Plumpton so probably saved myself some money.I have had many good days at Plumpton so am not surprised you had a good time.
Had a good time at Plumpton yesterday. It was ladies day so there were a fair few women working hard to stay inside their dresses as they tottered around on extraordinarily high heels. Most surprisingly, I managed to back a few winners and get a bit sunburnt!
However, selecting winners on this forum is a completely different proposition at the moment (yesterday’s was stone last after going from 9/2 in the morning to 16/1 at the off). I’m in one of those phases where picking a winner on here feels harder than trying to work out the clues on 3-2-1 with Ted Rogers!
Today I’m putting the hex on Rockonmecca in the 14.30 at Musselburgh.
You're definitely in the wrong part of the country. In Spring the Aintree Ladies Day is wonderful but the best by far is a sunny day on the Knavesmire.
Red Cards. Martinelli should have got one for that deliberate clatter on the Jap lad. Old fashioned retribution came though when Caciedo nailed him minutes later and getting the Jap lads thanks.
I didn't see Joe's comment but guessed it might have something to do with the Desert terrors.
The mods have got me back as well big time as after I em the G sports editor complaining about the constant anti racing stance ,support of those AR cretins and the Banaicki woman's articles and there constant reminders on other articles.
I received this em back. It's a classic

Not reform ? Wtf are these mod twats on ? Is there a secret Guardian re eduction camp up on Salisbury Plain at Porton Down where us red card sinners are sent for corrective training in wet neck left wing speak.
As I've not commented since my suspension in June 2021 that made me laugh as now if you criticise by em you get done sine die.
Obviously I'm heartbroken and ive booked my Daily Mail subscription ,a proper paper .
No, tuforu, (you asked me that question some years ago in the Guardian forum). Anyone who does not take part in the Naps contest is a bit of a cuckoo here, I think. I do try to tag my comments on to the end of a thread rather than get in the way of nappers.
If I had any tips based on inside information, I would happily pass them on. But those who do have such information remain tight lipped, generally, which is understandable.
Playlord got a deserved Red Card yesterday (and it was always coming so he knew what he was doing) because you cannot contest final Court Rulings with TH on the Ruler of Dubai as the the teenage Moderator thinks there might be an appeal process.
There is no appeal.
We know the Judicial Rulings on 2 cases in UK Sovereign Territory and there are no appeals.
Facts are Facts.
There is no point in stating anything about that man anymore on TH as he is beyond the pale and posts gets taken down in 1 hour.
Apparently one of his Female Victims went to a Bar beforehand and a poster seems to think that is relevant to the Court Judgement like he is Philip Marlowe.
Whoever did the bricklaying at Rose and Tony's yard did a lovely job. It was in a terrible state when they found it and it looks magnificent now.
Persimmon was the future Edward VII's homebred, foaled at Egerton House stud and trained from there by Richard Marsh. Egerton House and the stable yard is a beautiful redbrick structure, classic late Victorian Arts & Crafts style. It was the base for David Elsworth at the end of his career and is now a wedding venue!
Kingsfast won 8 to 11. Rubbish price but penalty kick

I am afraid the Judgement is final.
