GAZP, Leo, and Gforce struck on Sunday - well done. Let me know if I've missed anything. Back home later today after a visit to see friends in Liverpool.
Kathab, ripon 16.10 - a shared nap with Leo i see. I dont generally change if someone else has a nap, when ive picked something then for better or worse ive spent the time i have to pick it that day and on we go. I was looking for a big price and saw nothing today I felt worth the typing.
I'm not sure why EGS doesn't seem to have claimed it (modesty?) but I'm pretty sure he selected Battle Cry at York last Friday where it won at 9/2. I remember the SP because I backed it and winners were rarer than hens teeth last week.
Milton Harris held his Open Day yesterday and Dilton and I were in attendance. We were pleased to meet Luke H, who lives relatively locally, and spend time together with our horses. They all stood out in their condition and appearance and behaved impeccably in the parade of horses having been bribed with carrots beforehand.
Talking Horses members have turned an idea into quite some reality!
Really enjoyed the day thanks, good to finally meet and chat with you and Paul. Spent a long time chatting with Kirstin and the other lady from the stud (afraid I often forget people's names, which is weird, as I generally have a very good memory!) - they obviously love and care for their horses very well. They know exactly where all of them are, except one, "who is somewhere in Scotland" - and she seem concerned she didn't know exactly where.
Damn you EGS, this was going to be my nap, as the one horse today I had some information about... I sat next to the owner's husband yesterday during lunch at Milton's yard; they will be there today and were very positive about his chances.
Oh well, I need to find a Jake-style tip or two at the end of the month, to crawl out of the mire!
I'll post later about the owners' open day, which was very enjoyable, and I highly recommend it to anyone next year. They are very welcoming, so you don't have to wait till then to visit :)
I had Thommos's autograph - we were sittimg beside his commentary post at Kelso years back and I asked him to sign my race-card. Its very rare to me to ask for Autographs. Typically ive lost the thing now but it may turn up again!
Kimifive 4.50 Epsom won SP 6/1.
This seems like an odd take on what you could focus on if you are supporting racing this season:

I wonder will he put some Bluetooth device in his ears to the theme song from Rocky on the way to the start?
