Cracking handful of Thursday naps landed, including a 28/1 winner for tuforu. In an effort to be fair to everyone here, can you all make it clear that you are napping a horse when you post? In this case, tuforu mentioned just one horse, so I am happy to take it as the nap, and will do the same for anyone mentioning just one horse without adding nap. Anyway, well done all. October comp is not yet over after all.
If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.

Just found out that Sweet Believer was a non-runner so with limited options I’ll go with one of Ruth Carr’s that has previously been good for me. Foreseeable Future in the last at Newcastle.
Post Impressionist wins at 6/1
This fella went straight into the tracker after a fine second to the subsequent Leger winner over a clearly inadequate 1m2f at Newcastle back in May. I'm surprised he went off at 6/1. The layers at Skybet weren't - I was restricted to a £30 maximum stake at SP this morning.
Post Impressionist 3.50 York won SP 6/1.
Post Impressionist won for nap at 6 to 1
My nap Pogo won the 15.00 at Newmarket at 7/4.
Bit pressed for time today. Going with Sweet Believer (each way) in the 17.50 at Newmarket.
NAP Sparkling Beauty, 3.35 Newmarket.
La Yakel in the 16:10 at Newmarket
The Stayers race at York is a good one and i'm with Jake on Post Impressionist (3.50)
Does anyone know if York has had any rain ?
Cosmic Desert - 16.10 Newmarket
Just scrolling Amazon Prime last night and came across Horsepower....maybe a bit late to the party ...but has anyone else watched it...verdict....enjoying so far and very interesting behind the scenes
Redarna 14:40 York EW Nap
Queen's Sargent 5.35Y win nap
I was going to do Cruyff turn, but RobJ has already picked it, in EW double with above just 805/1 winning odds :P
Nap - York 3.50: Post Impressionist.
My horse yesterday was a n/r, onto today's nap, which is Cruyff turn (York, 14:40). As always for the tipping comp, on the nose, never ew.
I do not like backing unlucky last time out horses but that is not the only reason I am backing(napping) Post Impressionist 3.50 York.Well done yesterdays winners with pride of place going to Tuforo for his 28/1 cracker.
7 days in, going down the long shot route already 😁.
zargun ew. York 4.25
I have to finally admit it . I've wasted 68 years of my life getting kicked, bit, stamped on and head butted, no not the footy part , ( though the same applied but nowhere near as often) i mainly mean owning, riding ,breeding and training horses ( and donkeys who I love )
The past 3 days ( and a large part of 4 evenings ) spent going through the catalogue then watching the yearlings being sold at Tattersalls has led me to the above ,aided of course by the brutal truth being hammered home very often by the girl whose lived through it by my side for all 50 of those years.
I should have been a Bloodstock Agent , it's taken all that time ,I must be Stevie Wonder, she said without the voice.
Richard Knights one , he saw the light very early after seeing his brother work all hours training he got himself in at Darley ,selling stallion nominations to the likes of me which meant we got invited to the open day of all open days annually to see how the desert ramblers have really evolved with the help of black gold.
There, looking at me yesterday was his fresh, happy young face on a nice article in the RP.
I know that smile ,its the one I saw after he convinced me Reset would be a great stallion !
I wont give you the amount of other peoples money hes spent these past 3 days ,I'll simply give you homework to add it up and then work out his and all the other leeches opps sorry, bloodstock agents commision.
I hate agents , all of em, estate, land, especially footy , but Bloodstock tops the lot.
Has it really reached the stage where a trainer or stud owner cannot nod his head to spend his own money . Theres 2 journos on the RP who have elevated them to meaningful star status going into overdrive praising their ability to nod like that bloody lion did on the rear window ledge of my dads car.
Yes you idiot said Jackie ,you to could be there doing it ,wearing your cap around the wrong way ,puffa jacket and scarf ( why do blokes wear scarfs so much these days like Monty every Friday evening does even when its sunny beats me ) making millions spending other peoples dosh.
Ryan Price must be spinning in his grave ,he once gave me a fearful lecture and ear bashing when I casually asked who bought his yearlings . Me, if you cant buy your own how can you train them. I've left out the Fs between every word.
Even Steve Cauthens at it , 600,000 gns on a half brother to Harry's Angel who was the second most gorgeous looking horse I wanted ,in my dreams it seemed. Its off to the States ,poor thing to be " trained "
3 record breaking days of mega money spent that people can only dream about , not a dicky bird about it from part time Greg in the G mind. Impossible to flank the elbow incident into 100 words I suppose.
I give up , until the next sale in a few days time .If you want a horse my commision rate is 5% and a scarf like the one Simon Reeve wears ,ok .
Pogo. 15.00. Newmarket.
