Thursday winners courtesy of Gforce and Pebbles - well done. If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Just a note that Sixfiveseven, one of the Talking Horses syndicate's horses will be running tomorrow at Cholet in France in the 11.50 a.m. race. This will be its second run and we are advised that it will be looked after. The thinking is that it is likely to be the favourite so will be a shortish price. I shall back it out of sentiment alone, though I think it will have a fair chance of a win, and look forward to watching the race on France Galop.
Impressive win from Greaneteen there giving over a stone to everything. OK, War Lord and Third Time Lucki weren't great, but as Paul Nicholls said, he's improved.
Mischief Magic EW 7pm Keeneland Nap - Silver Knott may be the one to keep Charlie Appleby's amazing record in Juvenile turf races at Breeders' Cup going, but i think there may be more to come from Mischief Magic...
Quite surprised the going at Exeter is still Good given the awful weather we've had this week in Devon, but maybe the strong winds have helped dry it out, and it's lovely today, but still think there's likely to be some soft places on the lower parts on the far side.
I had a busy morning so could not have a good look at the cards.I looked at your nap and saw the last run on video and had a few bob on,I will buy you a pint if we ever meet up thanks.
I’ve previously mentioned History Writer on this forum as I was convinced there was still a race or two in him following his change of stable. I’m not as convinced anymore because his form has been abysmal since and today he makes his debut in a maiden hurdle at Fontwell. I’ve had a small each way bet at 100/1 as there are only 9 runners and if he takes to jumping and shows a glimmer of his old ability then that seems too big a price to me, plus he used to like soft ground.
However, the nap today is Highland Queen in the 16.15 at Newcastle.
