Pining for the flat season already - purely driven by money as I haven't got to grips with the jumpers at all yet. For example I considered the Ascot 1405 last night and on going through the whole field I found a reason to doubt, or not bet confidently on any one of them. Then came the plunge on the Pauling horse which has halved in price. His runners are often punted and the stable are at 25% winners over the last week but this beast will have to have improved some here - its a bit like betting blind. I'd like to see £s for
Nap Ascot 1405 Revels Hill
but he's drifting like the Marie Celeste which is not a good sign from this stable; I'm just a Fry fan!
I'm giving up having anything to do with horses. Public speaking is the way to go ,all 276k worth of it for 30 mins and then a cosy fireside chat with tea and toast for 45 mins with extra dosh chucked in.
I could inspire insurance agents ,or any agents come to that .
We don't need a Budget ,just a revolution to get rid of this political class of clowns and chancers .
It feels like Mr. Musk is not making a wise decision with his $44 billion investment. They are leaving in droves....
I have also been on the receiving end of 2 brothers, that told us we were worthless, useless people, wasting their money, after they had aggressively expanded... On a very different scale, but I know where my sympathy lies...
It's not often I recommend a 9/4 chance ante post, but I believe Jonbon could be as good as Altior, and Nicky will give him the usual Arkle prep - two or three more races in small fields at long odds on, then Cheltenham, where he's likely to go off long odds on. Boylesports standout 9/4. Good luck.
He looked a natural the last day didn't he? Has anyone trained as many talented 2m chasers? For all of Sprinter Sacre's inherent brilliance though, Remmitance Man was my favourite.
Joe What would make me think about an antepost like that is the relatively short odds offered, even if they look generous because of the horse's capability. Factoring in the vicissitudes of fortune (stepping on a stone, getting a cough or an injury) that's impossible to do, but the risks are not zero especially if a few races are undertaken beforehand. Cheltenham is a fair way off and to make it a worthwhile bet I am inclined to increase stakes when odds are shorter. In summary, I prefer longer odds bets on antepost bets.
Crambo won 3/1 (quite generous, I think!)

NAP 5.00 Dundalk - Sea of Cortez
Two trackers today, the first of which Bobo Mac decided to win for the first time in 3 years, and to add insult to injury won pretty easily.
The second, and now each way nap is Tamaroc Du Mathan in the 14:05 at Ascot. To say he is rather inconsistent is somewhat understating his abilities.
