Just one winner on Thursday, but what a winner it was: Alan tipped 33/1 shot Jackhammer, who pounded his rivals: great work, Alan.
If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Watched Uggy again yesterday; he seems to have a proper appetite for the game and the urge for the next hurdle looks to energise him. Not so sure he loved coming down that slope, and round some bends. And maybe he'd like more give. Would like to see him at Newbury or Haydock. Jock not at all hard on him and surely a matter of time before he wins over a trip. Good luck to those involved.

Abate got me off the cold at evens
Amazing Grace in the 22:47 at Belmont Park
Frankness won 7/4.
NAP EW Sulafaat 8.30 Clonmel.
Phil Kirby is doing a good job with Robert Johnson, who's just won his third race this season. Robert Johnson - the man who met the Devil at the crossroads and made a deal to exchange his soul for the Blues.
Thought Hard Solution was going to do it then…broke well from a wide draw and led for most of the race….5th, so got some decent returns from Sky …the theory was almost correct…beaten by the draw.
2 ex-Ballydoyle Horses running in the 22.47 at Belmont Park tonight; Barbados and High Definition. I will do them both e,w. but my nap has to be High Definition.
Gentleman Valley won at 2/1.
No shortage of choice for punters today with six meetings. No shortage of dross flat racing - five meetings on a Friday with atrocious prize money, I ask you? Thirsk is the absolute pits. The whole day is totally uninspiring. Bath's feature race is a juvenile novice with eight grand to the winner as it's a bonus race, hence some big yards going down there. Over the jumps the ever resourceful Market Rasen have found a bit of local sponsorship and can offer a ten-grand handicap hurdle. Too many horses chasing too little money in races put on for the bookies' benefit. It's monopoly capitalism - dominate the market, make yourself indispensable to the industry then drive down quality and financial returns. This sort of racing is like the water companies pumping sewage into our rivers and we customers have to pay for the damage.
Copper Fox - Market Rasen 16.20
Frankness 7.35G.
Relegation form just now, not a good omen for Ascot. To make it worse I fancy a couple of shorties today, Wind in Your Sails who I seem to recall was surprisingly beaten last time and
Nap Hay 1955 Abate
who should be odds on really
Asadjumeriah is the nap. Haydock 7.55.
Ostraka 5.20 Fairy nap
(my nap yesterday nabbed late on going down a shd - close but no cigar! Cuban Breeze interesting in 7.20 at Hamilton, first time on GF for a while, but too many others I could make a case for...)
Market Rasen 1.50 - Moonlit Warrior
Top tipping Alan!
I declared Uggy on ground stated as good ,good to firm on the hurdle track which is perfect for him and his action.
On the day before course update it remained as the above but with the dreaded " watering to maintain " added.
I watched and timed the first and it was obvious something was up as it was ran way over standard,as was the second. I then heard lads were saying this ground is riding very slow and the COC changed it to Good. ??
Remainder of meeting the times were again way above standard. Uggys race being the 2nd quickest of the day with Brad coming into unsaddle cursing saying to Paul its soft and covered in mud.
Why the hell these COCs we now have feel they have to avoid the word firm is yet another BHA cock up to go along with the stupid whip change rules that's resulted in a huge number of bans
Miss Quayle ,her of the various Newcastle going debacles over watered the track significantly ruining lots of horses chances .
Uggy won best turned out ,his lass Chloe insisted on giving up her day off to take him racing and she tx me at 6 am to say he's 100% fine.
