I have put up the May results on a separate thread under the usual Daily Naps header. I just noticed that I need to amend those May totals as I missed a winner form EGS on May 31st.
Terrible race scheduling this evening, with Down Royal the chief sufferer: their races are five minutes before Stratford's, so you will not see the whole race at either track. Oh well, who cares - one's in Ireland and the other's hunter chasing (the biggest meeting in the calendar for the hunters). As long as we can see uninterrupted egg and spoon handicaps from England, that's all that matters.
4 days since The Guardian actually had an article where you could post a relevant comment on a current article, on arguably the biggest race of the year. RIP TALKING HORSES.
The G is becoming so risk averse that they dare not open comments in case anyone expresses an opinion, however mild. The last article had a whole thread removed with no trace it was ever there. I was almost fooled into thinking I had never posted a comment. The key people now are the moderators and they know zero about horse racing.
Greg's more interested in AR and its antics .This is what he said the other day.
And personally, much as I enjoy horse racing and want to see it thrive, I want to live in a country with a meaningful right to peaceful protest – about racing, the monarchy, climate change or anything else – a great deal more.
My main bet in the oaks was Running Lion, but always niggled by trying to pick a big priced one to get into the frame.... at the last minute I had tiny EW bet on Caernarfon (50-1), but another one on Heartache Tonight, just stopped me from from getting into profit, and the Rule 4 15p.
We'll never know about Running Lion, but O Murphy sure looked pissed!!
For some reason I have done an e.w. double of Red Riding Hood in the Oaks and Fantastic Fox in 14.35 at Epsom. I know a Fox is not a Wolf but close enough.
The best bets may be the 2 Ballydoyle outsiders in the Oaks. e.w. but my nap is Fantastic Fox. 14.35. Epsom
I've never liked football agents. They don't know their place. Why has this been allowed to happen? They should behave more like actor's agents or jockey's agents. Anyway, Joorabchian comes across as an amiable enough chap in the media but he's always been too big for his moccasins. Yard insiders might tell me I'm talking rubbish, but surely the trainer has had no say in running Maman Joon in the Oaks? She has run once, in a maiden, beaten a long way by an admittedly impressive looking filly who unfortunately cut no ice in the Musidora. If she wins today it would be the training performance of Richard Hannon's career and the owner would be even more unbearably smug than he is already. That she is a third of the price of Sea Of Roses utterly baffles me. (Savethelastdance is miles clear in my book.)
He's drinking in a saloon called Last Chance. These near misses don't usually escape the beady eye of the handicapper. Saying that, I thought dropping him 2lb after the York run was generous. He was going off a career-low mark today.
Happy as it was a very close contest esp with the likes of Gaz putting up a 5 timer.
Nap Oaks Running Lion
who really impressed me so much that I took 8s AP before Oisin said she wouldn't stay. I've taken an ew to 4 places on Eternal Hope too who I reckon would be much shorter had she run on grass, and it seems they expect her to do well on it looking at her entries.
Joe,I cannot log in on my Hotmail e-mail,I signed in yesterday using a Gmail e-mail as JAKEBUCKFAST,that lasted a few hours then the username switched to Unknown member but I can still log in on the Gmail account.
Jake, sorry about this. I logged a ticket for a support call about 8pm the other today and got an estimated call wait of 7 to 10 minutes. They didn't call until after 10.30 when I was asleep. I will log another call and try to get this sorted out. Can you PM me the emails you've used trying to get this fixed, and the original email you logged (your profile has disappeared completely from the back end management system)?

Well done Gforce !
The citys phantom ew. Epsom 3.45.
I've had an ew flutter on Adelaide River in the Derby at 66s.

This fellows breeding suggests he'll take to it.
Epsom 3.45 - Toshizou
this fella went straight into the tracker after his last run.
\Well done GFORCE and the others that found a good total in what was a tricky month - the new flat season not proving an easy hunting ground!
