That was a fine ride by Sean Levey on Heredia. Slowly away as she was at York last time, she inevitably found plenty of trouble in running. Sean had to do more navigating than Thor Heyerdahl but he had a willing and brave partner and she held on well under pressure having found clear road in the final furlong. Exemplary riding by an underrated jockey in a typically competitive handicap.
Had a lovely week with family visiting and good weather, but means I've missed most of the racing, watched a few replays... been putting on a few bets with very few winners, but placed horse getting me 60% of stake back... but Inspiral and Perfect Power double has just put me up :D
A word about Spencer no not him, I mean Richard who trains at Newmarket . Hes ran two 2 yos at Ascot the first ,Waiting All Night finished 5th running on strongly just as Rjchard said he would and now his lovely grey filly Ivory Madonna has ran a great 3rd at 66s ,again as he thought she would. The BF place market returns have really paid out . In between they've had a nice winner at Lingfield .
He really can train but of late he and his wife have been subjected to vile abuse on that bloody social media bollocks and via email from those keyboard twats because a moderate class 6 horse of theres was a beaten fav at Bath.
Don't give a sh*t about social media cr*p, just hope people don't get too upset by it. Really feels like there should be more accountability for posters of vile stuff.
EGS's shadow is looming large after his great win with Thesis yesterday (has anyone mentioned it?!) - I am not quite ready to bow out with dignity, but am cowed...

Inspiral WOW! If she's going to come on for that... Is that the next Enable? Needs to stay sound, but Very Impressive.

Tiber Flow in the 15:05 at Royal Ascot
I'm amazed he didn't nap one of Hugo Palmer's in Newmarket's 5.54. It's called Self Praise.
Trais Fluors - 14.55 Redcar
Bit surprised EGS hasn’t said much about his winner yesterday.
Well done EGS. I took a couple where it hurts yesterday.
Nap RA 1430 Cathy Come Home
Mawj 2.30RA.
Flaming Rib 3.05
Ottoman fleet nap (17:35)
A big priced winner ups the ante on the naps so sights have to be raised. Fresh Hope in the 5 o clock at RA.

Nap Edward Cornelius EW 6.10
(I've also put in an EW double with 50-1 shot)
yesterdays racing threw up a few points
A wee verse came to mind in middle of night ( literally)
The horse-riding tactics of Hanagan
Suggested the race should be ran again
His manoeuvres amaze
He got banned for ten days
I doubt Richard Fayey’s a fan again
Then if we look at Dettori
An entirely different story
He was sat out the back
Had no chance of attack
And lost any chance of more glory
One thing we’ve learned from the fun
Of watching those animals run
To get a race taken away
On such a big day
You must shoot someone else with a gun
Well done Senor !
you can get 150/1 5 places Gis a Sub in the Ascot 3.05.
His Gimcrack 2nd on good to firm would give him a squeak here.
