Apologies to Pebbles for missing that 7/1 winner on Wednesday. And Gaz had one on Thursday - well done both.
If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Timeform published their top July Cup winners and it struck me that most were from 50 years plus ago; the top 3 mentioned from 70 years or more, which suggests to me that there is/was something wrong with the ratings, or the sprinting racehorse has declined through periods of huge medical and training development.

Harriet Bethell really is a remarkable person. The way she has got down to the hard, demanding job of running a training yard after everything she has been through is awe inspiring. And she is not one to be satisfied with anything less than winning. After a horrific gallops accident, then six weeks in a coma and nine months in and out of various hospitals, no one would have been at all surprised if she had been content to live a quiet life and enjoy being with her ever supportive family. No, she had other ideas. Having sent out her first runner since coming back last November, she is really on a roll now. She is very selective with entries, with only 20 runners since 1 March - almost all on the flat - and five winners in that time. An able amateur pilot for Philip Kirby before turning to training, she is an excellent judge of her horses. If there is a more likeable and determined person in racing, I'd like to meet them.
Nizaaka won at 11/4.
Nap Ataser 4.10N
Flotus won at 9/4
4.10 Newmarket - Nizaaka
Flotus won 9/4.
NAP Freewhellin Dylan 7.50 Kilbeggan, 11/1 or so.
I only saw it 3 minutes before the off yesterday.........the horse I mentioned a week or so ago, Flame of Eire, won the 5.15 Limerick, morning price, SP 11/2..........
I would’ve thought Oasis Dream beating Starspangledbanner decisively, was a better performance than Muharer narrowly getting up to beat the long shot Tropics ?
Northern Express 4.25 York.
Jojo Rabbit 16:45 New'm EW Nap
In the cold light of day I have looked again at that meaningless list above.
No Royal Academy. No Ajdal (whose previous Run was in the Epsom Derby)
Timeform downgraded the rating of my namesake a few years back so maybe they downgraded Chief Singer as collateral damage.
Dayjur never ran in the Race. The form of Chief Singer is surely unopposed. I know Thatch ran a parallel career in 1973 but I was too young to remember him. Chief Singer went up against a Golden Generation of EGS, Lear Fan and Rainbow Quest and kept his pride intact. It is scandalous.
Flotus nap (York, 14:40)
Ascot Newmarket AND York today? Add Chester tomorrow.
Couple of Dods At York for me today and will bite at Gathanfar if the price goes out a bit and my luck is in.

I'm with EGS on disliking sprints and there are plenty of them today....
At a reasonable distance i'll nap Sea the Casper in the ascot 4.36,
Tregony - 16.00 Ascot. Currently 10/1 as I type which is surprising to me.
Cheers Jake, going against you with Flotus 2.40Y.

15.00 Newmarket- Candleford
Did Marwell not beat Mooresytle?
I hate sprint Races.
Keystone Cops except with commentators getting increasingly excited in their tone of voice which should just be subtitles and shown in black and white. Or with Benny Hill music. I hate sprint Races. My nap is in the 13.15 at Newmarket where our part time hero rides a Horse called 'Hope You Can Run' against a runner in the same race trained by his family.
