Three winners on Thursday including a 15/2 chance from Highflying. Alan and Gaz also in the winner's enclosure and both hitting a lovely line of form this week - well done all.
Who is this Clegg character, the one who owns Hillsin? The horse was laid with so much confidence that even in running he never went lower than 10/1. What price would he have been jumping the last had the race been straight? No matter what the trainer's instructions were, or the owners, for that matter, Kitts faced the choice after jumping the last of risking being warned off for years or suffering the consequences from the coup organisers had he chosen to defy them and win. Just what kind of pressure must he have been under to opt for giving up his living, which surely must be the final outcome?

Nap 9.00 Haydock - Sir Maxi
Peter Bowen is one of the few trainers that have mastered the art of winning a bumper with a penalised horse. He's done it again just now with Olivers Travels who was giving the 4yos a hefty 11lb. The result was never in doubt. A few years back he atually trained a mare to win four bumpers (I'm struggling to remember her name just now) and then had to draw stumps and send her hurdling. In Ireland there's no such limit - in fact you can run in bumpers even after racing over hurdles. Anything goes, it seems. And why not. In this country trainers win one and then look for a Listed race instead of trying to do a Bowen and win under a penalty. Strange. If they are good enough to win one they may well be at least 7lb better than the dead wood that make up the majority of ordinary bumpers you can find.

Poet Punk. 17.20. Bellewstown. e.w.
I heard Beasley Street on the Radio last night and that has to be a sign.
Throw Science out the window.
There is a Beasley Street in Cork City as well as Salford and maybe JCC was referring to Cork but it is mainly office space and I have yet to see Rat with Rickets and I can spot them a mile off so it has to be Salford where they are 10 a penny.
I wonder who Mr.Beasley is?
Probably dodgy connection to the Slave Trade as that seems to be the common denominator in Street Names.
Boom boom pow 8.45B.
Naturally missed the price but it won't win anyway
