Just two catch up winners from Wednesday. Nothing I can see from Thursday, but, as ever, If I've left anyone out, I apologise; please leave a message on this thread and I'll update.
Pink Crystal in the 14:20 at Brighton. I'll happily take @GForce 's leftovers. Pink Crystal is a tracker horse for me. My only other tracker today is Sydney Bay at Thirsk which is running at a bigger price.
Shergar Cup day usually wins my award for worst Saturday racing of the year (and often have family visiting, so do something with them rather than watch racing), but at least there are some other decent races being covered by ITV tomorrow.
And my rating of it has just dropped even lower, after reading that Frank is the captain of the GB&I team!! (I sometimes think he must have some sort of J Edgar Hoover files in the cupboard to get some of the gigs he does...)
I've similar views on Shergar Day and thought I would about last nights Racing League but despite losing a few quid I really enjoyed ITV's coverage. A choice between Frank as captain or loony Matt C? No contest.
Saturday is all about the Phoenix for me. I like gambling but all bets are opportunity cost ie bet on this thing at Haydock or just lump it all on Bradsell? I won't hear of defeat......... well until it actually happens!
I know I am repeating myself but Shergar Cup Day is just 'It's a Knockout' on Horseback.
I think the commentary should be done by AI using Eddie Waring voice recordings.
At least I would watch it with Eddie Waring on board.
Not sure about the Phoenix Stakes. I only like 2 yo Races where the horse ages well.
In the last 70 years only 4 winning Horses went on to win a G1 at 3.
That does include one of my top 3 Favs. In George Washington (which is my only other Pseudonym as People believe I never t a lie [bizarrely people don't think of that name and I wasn't allocated an extra number like 1 or 33. I got the name with no suffix])
A very poor start to the month. I probably need a stable tracker clear out - the handicapper has got a grip on most of older horses and the 2yos are flattering to decieve in weak maidens.
Will probably regret opposing the favourite but I’m going for Smeaton’s Light in the 14.20 at Brighton. Backed it last night (ew to 4 places) but for this forum it’s win only.
Shalfa won 2.50 at 5/2
Completing a trixie with Pink Crystal and Erosandpsyche.

I will offer good luck to Megan Nicholls. Sure she tried every race and some good wins under her belt.
Smart enough to bow out from riding at 25 guess its easier when you can move into the whole operation. Wish her all the best
